Welcome to Gaia! ::

I have been on Gaia now for about a year and a half with the exception of about a six month absence. I've always been an EDer and am always sure to take time to look at a variety of threads ranging from ridiculous to just plain stupid. But, if you search my posts I have never started my own topic. Never. Not once. Well here you go. It's my turn to reply to all of you imbeciles. My virginity is about to be stolen.

Christianity. There are many different denominations of it but it is all evil. Every single one. Catholics, Baptists, Presbyterians and even the followers who have no denomination are evil. How do I know this? Well it must be true! Here are just a sample of topics in Extended Discussion:

Religion: Possibly the cause for everything bad on earth?
Religion, GET OUT OF SCIENCE CLASSES!
Christian Music Ads

Now if you read the topics that talk about "religion" they are typically bashing Christians. I know that the huge axis of evil Christianity has created is engulfing the earth but why must everybody scream it from the rooftops? Oh wait! I know why...the people who are saying this are pissy little teenagers trying to rebel and be an individual. Yeah right...be an individual. It's cool to wear black, be depressed, hate the government and hate God. Why? I think it's because these kids like to be unhappy. I know God has cursed you with a horrible life where your parents care too much and don't want you to have sex at 12 and high school teachers try to get you to learn what you really need to know. Maybe since God cursed you now you want to retaliate and curse Him. But wait...there's more reasons for you to be upset. Christians come to your door and force you to listen to them talk about this evil, horrible God. They're just pretending to give you hope so they can burn it all to the ground. And those Christian music advertisements...don't get me started about them. The kids they have dancing around acting happy? Totally inappropriate. The FCC really needs to do something about that type of stuff. Have you heard those lyrics? Geez. They make any person blush. And that crap about our nation being based on Christianity and God? What a load of bull! I bet you who ever wrote "One nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance was just dyslexic...he probably meant to write dog. Let's not forget the wicked Christian charities: The Salvation Army, Feed the Children, Warm Blankets Orphan Care International. The Salvation Army...always trying to steal your money at Christmas time. They probably give it to stupid homeless people who don't have food or something like that. Who needs Feed the Children? The starving kids in other countries should have to find food themselves! And don't even bring up Warm Blankets...those kids are orphans for a reason. The small churches who give food to hungry families are just as horrible. Why slip a small bible in with a box of food? The people just want the food!

Seriously, why is it horrible to be Christian? I understand that everyone has the right to choose their own religion and I respect that. But, you don't have the right to speak negatively about us and put us all in a bad stereotype. There isn't a thing wrong with wanting to show compassion to people less fortunate. What about the groups who hate the Christians? Have you heard about them helping out? I haven't heard about Pissy Teenagers Full of Angst helping anybody. The Atheists Food Program...haven't seen them in the news lately. And I can't forget about Anarchists for the Homeless...wait a minute, yes I can. They don't exist. My point is simply that you don't have to agree with my religion but you can at least appreciate the good that Christians have done for the world. We're not perfect, we make mistakes. You sure as hell aren't perfect either. If you don't like our religion, turn the other way! Ask the people who knock on your door to politely leave. You don't even have to donate to our charities! Quit making it sound like we're corrupting the world. What's wrong with Christian music advertisements? There can be women all over the television with their thongs and their butts hanging out with some rapper singing "I slapped my ho and she gave me head" but somebody can't be happy with their religion?! Give it a rest people!

And by the way, anarchy would never work so you little teeny boppers need to quit bashing Bush. You have the right to your opinion but "bush sux!!!111!1!!11" isn't one. Grow up and learn the issues. Until then, shut the hell up.

What do I want? I want respect. That's it. Don't agree with me just respect me. I'm a 19 year old female white Republican Christian college student living in sin with my boyfriend. I have a dirty mouth with a horrible cursing habit. I'm not perfect. I'm not the perfect Christian.

BUT, I'm not bashing you. I'm not degrading you because you're Jewish or Arab. I'm not even laughing at you because you think "bush sux" and anarchy is the way of the future. Give credit where it is due: Christians help the world.

Grow up and quit bashing the Christians. They've done a hell of a lot more than you have. Give us a break damnit.
I totally agree. Religion also gives so much good things. Like Pope Johannes Paulus II who really supported East-Europe during the Cold War between the USSR and the USA. But still - you can't deny that religion also brings a lot of problems with it. Although the problem doesn't lay at religion itself but at the people devoted to it - I'm talking about people so devoted that they started to follow extreme forms of their religion and not being tolerate against other religions.
wow... nicely wrote.. Very nice!
Do you even know what an axis is?
"Everyone who dislikes at least some members of the christian religeon is a whiny, wannabe, middle classed, goth kid. Why do you stereotype us?"

Christians do a lot of good in the world and I think this is wrong. Hear me out. I'm not saying that as a christian or a buddist or a jew or a noodly monster worshipper you can't go out and help the poor, but why do you have to involve your religeon. I don't think religeon should be overtly involved in any charity work. This puts pressure on the people you're helping to be christian. I mean, all these missionaries that used to go out to the poor countires didn't neceserily go to help but to 'spread the word of god'. Now I think that's an awful thing beacuse in doing so they eradicated so any unique and interesting cultures.

By all means, be a christian and help people, but please, keep them seperate.

Christianity isn't an axis.
I hate it when some people judge all christians because of other ones. I used to be christain but i'm not anymore. But when I was one I found that becuase a christian that bashed someone because of there views, different religion, gay issues etc. people tend to judge all christians. On one side of my family the people who call themselves christian bash against anyone that isn't christian and that upsets me when people think that all christians are like that. I don't agree with world fund thing, and espeically t.v. pasters, I think that it's all a fake hoax.

First of all, you're right. I was stereotyping. Why? Because it's typically a correct stereotype. If you're a middle aged man who doesn't believe in God, that's fine. My stereotype was referring to Gaia...and I'm just about positive it's true.

Second, if a religious group is going to spend their time, money and effort it's their choice. I think they have the right. And yes, the missionaires did spread the word of God. Apparently you were told of a different type. All cultures are unique and interesting! Just because they have the same religion doesn't mean that you can't be unique. Religion is just one of the many facets of a culture. To top it off, nobody forces you to be any religion. It's your choice.
Thank you!! heart
crying Finally, someone said it and said it well. I can't stand it seeing all these anti-christian threads, when the only reason why people are being anti-christian is because it is becoming a fad. Thank you for your thread.

Christianity isn't an axis.

Hmm, I would classify the Catholic church as an axis.
