You can do your charity work, but I don't see why you have to talk to them about your god as you do it.

It's our privilege I suppose. Christians are supposed to try to spread the word of God and right there is a good method. If you don't like it get the people of your religion or what ever you believe to go help people and don't use any type of religious attachment. It's your choice...just like it's our choice.

I know it's your privelage now, I don't think it should be alowed. I think that privelage should be withdrawn and charity work of any kind should be no implicit religeous associations. Also, I hate evengelists. I hate them with a passion from their insistance to interupting my life to forfil their little ego trips to their assumption that I'm only not a christian becuase nobody ever told me about it. And the worst thing about Evangelists is they don't take no for an answer. I see nothing redemable about evengelising.

And the OMFG was sarcasm. I'm sorry, I didn't know you wouldn't get it. I obviously, to some at least, didn't mean to imply that a association would actually use net speak but that their attitudes are similar to those we generaly associate with the kind of people who routinely use netspeak.

I agree, they shouldn't be harassing. Just politely ask them to leave and if they don't then just close the door. Simple as that. At least give them credit for having the guts to do it.

Clap, clap, claps for you. Why do most people on the globe say Christianity is offencive? They never say such about any other religion. People bashing us are only fufilling what the Lord said would happen.

I will agree wholeheartedly that many people are overzealous. It is annoying. Even being a Christian I still have Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses come knocking on my door telling me that I need to find God...even though I already found Him. It gets on my nerves too...even when I go to churches of my own religion! I do have to give them some credit, I know I couldn't go to people's houses and bug them like that.

And yeah, there's the weird ones who yell and scream about going to Hell if you don't change your ways. I bet you twenty bucks that they're probably the ones that are going to Hell. One of the main principles of Christianity is to not be judgemental. Alot of modern Christians have failed in that.

As I said before, nobody's perfect and there are quite a few nutcases out there. But please, I'm still waiting to hear about what Aetheists are doing to help anybody!

I'm an athiest, I donate money to charity and I'm a sicentist so I may one day take a more direct role by contributing to finding a cure for a disease or something. But I don't need to tell people how much of an athiest I am and how athieism is the only true and moral path while I'm doing it.

I'm glad you donate to charity and such. I commend you on having the intelligence to be a scientist. Trying to spread our religion is part of Christianity. If it's not part of Athiesm it's you and your religions choice.

But why should you be alowed to do it thruogh the guise of aid? Why should you be allowed to go into a country and preach at them while you hand out aid? "I want to because I interpret my religeon as saying I can" isn't good enough, I'm afraid. Linking it with aid is dangerous because the person who is giving the aid has a kind of status and respectability in the community becuase they're able to distribute this aid. Therefore this gives them credability that they might not otherwsie have and an unfair advantage.

Also, again, this is historical. Missionaries have withheald aid unless the person who needed it converted. That IS underhand.

Anyhow...Jehova's Witnesses and Mormons are the ones shoving religeon down our throats...not Christians. By the way I am a proud follower of Christ.

Why shuold I? And I was thinking more of the aid thing. She should have the right to shut her door and make them go away but if this kid in africa wants medication to help with the AIDs they got through the placenta from their mother they should have to listen to others preach to them.

I suppose to a certain degree you're correct. The person who gives the aid has a status. "A way to a man's heart is through his stomach." That is how you gain trust from a hungry person. It's not like Christians are forcing them to harm themselves and Christianity is going to kill them. It's religion. We're not getting them to commit suicide or something.

I'm not sure what "jab" you're referring to. I'm simply stating that Christian Charities are more widely known and have done more for the less fortunate.

He had also punished them for defying Him. Everyone but Noah's family was so twisted with evil. The Lord will soon again destroy the earth- but not with water. The Rapture will occur, wherein all believers will be taken up into Heaven with Jesus. Then the Tribulation will follow. Exactly 7 years will pass, everyone left behind will suffer, unless of course if they commit suicide, or something of the sort. Then...Boom. The earth will be destroyed, then Heaven and Hell will be filled.

I'm not aware of this...haven't heard about it. If it's true, shame on them! There are always a few bad apples in every group.
