9 more days. Then my parents legally can't really keep me teathered. But that also means that can legally kick me out. OOOH double edged sword. I want to get baptised. That is going to be my first adult decision.

I got baptised and I regret it. I don't want to officially be part of any religious institution, it gives room for people to judge.

Christians do a lot of good in the world and I think this is wrong. Hear me out. I'm not saying that as a christian or a buddist or a jew or a noodly monster worshipper you can't go out and help the poor, but why do you have to involve your religeon. I don't think religeon should be overtly involved in any charity work. This puts pressure on the people you're helping to be christian. I mean, all these missionaries that used to go out to the poor countires didn't neceserily go to help but to 'spread the word of god'. Now I think that's an awful thing beacuse in doing so they eradicated so any unique and interesting cultures.

By all means, be a christian and help people, but please, keep them seperate.

Usually when I see these kinds of threads, they are nothing more than feeble attempts to stray from the norm by Christians who know relatively little about Christianity itself. Usually it goes something like this:

And, within minutes, these brave folks (who usually know nothing more than a few Christian song lyrics), become barraged by Anti-Christ Gaians who beat the poor soul to a pulp with difficult, often-used questions such as, "If there is a God then why is there so much hate and violence in the world?"

But you took on the challenge and rose far beyond your predessesors ( I don't think I spelled that right...). You made a good arguement, and I commend you.

i have nothing against christians, a lot of my friends are christian, but i just don't think the religion makes sense.
