No that's your problem, I'm pretty bad at English now a days. So Examining my statements and telling what I meant proves nothing. Except your stubbornness and need to be elevated. I mean really what was the purpose in even calling me an idiot and dissecting my post for literal meaning. What was I supposed to learn? What am I supposed to learn? What are you talking about I did mention my faults. I tried to explain that I didn't mean it that way. You're the one extracting your own meaning from it. Then when I try explain myself you counter(BTW first word that came to my mind other than counter was retort. Then I tried to think of another word besides that and came up with counter. To help you understand the way I communicate, and thought process.) with this. Then you fail to acknowledge your fault. That you misunderstood me and instead continue to say the same point over and over again. I use a spell checker what the shame in that? I use a dictionary sometimes too. When reading post in ED. I never do that with my own words though.

Yep and you look like the type of person who knows me better than I know myself even to the point. That you could tell me what I intended to say. If that was my intention why didn't I scramble to prove that it was fact? Or argue to the death that it was fact. Instead I submitted and said it was not fact. Even more so I had confidence that since my intelligence level was so lowly ED would understand what I meant. I will be more careful in the future about how I word my statements and make sure. There not confusing, however there bound to be a slip up eventually =3.

Also take into account that through marketing research they discovered, hypothetically speaking, that whites were more likely to buy a costume from the store and blacks were more likely not if they did it was the pimp. All you're suggesting is that retailers are possibly racist with their model uses and costume suggestions.

But since costumes are stereotypes, doesn't it make sense to complete the image? Is it racist now to portray a stereotype in jest?

And just how old are the model pictures? They always seem to be the same as the ones I saw last year back at least 10-15 years. Maybe the company is just reusing an old modeling photo?

So, for the past month I've been working at a Spirit Halloween store (seasonal-only store owned by Spencer's Gifts that sells Halloween costumes and some accessories). Not until the day before Halloween did I notice how incredibly racist it really is. Now bear with me, really think about it for a minute, while I bring up some key points that helped me realize this.

All of the sexy adult costumes feature white girls on the package.
The humor costumes are all white...
...even the ones depicting racists costumes.
Kids costumes?
Yep, every model is WHITE.

Second point:
Even accessory costumes are made for Caucasian skin only.
Every latex injury or skin attachment, WHITE.
Every bald cap or wig with bald skin, WHITE!


There is ONE group of costume and accessories that contained black people. Care to take a guess?
