I thought they discovered that the priests were going in and giving the bodies "upkeep" to keep them preserved.

Could you source that?
Most of these cases are from buried, in-coffin bodies that were exhumed over vast expanses of years.

I saw it on the Discovery Channel a while back.
I really should have worded my post like a question because I was curious if anyone else knew anything further about it.

I don't buy this for a fraction of a second.

Well, now Lord Mr. Ford, I just wish that you could see
What your simple horseless carriage has become
Well, it seems your contribution to man
To say the least, got a little out of hand
Lord Mr. Ford what have you done.

This article offers plausible explanations to the incorrupt, however it does not provide conclusive evidence. Also who said incorruptable must be "pliable and flexible?" Who makes up the rules about this? whee

Before buying into a quick rejection of the incorrupt by an avowed skeptic, I would submit that you look at all these entries: incorrupt to see if these were all covered by your skeptics appraisal. dramallama

I did not find it thorough nor did it offer any other points of view. There is no accurate representation for what the Church has to say of the incorrupt for example. Who here knows the official stance of Mother Church?

Mother Church? Hardcore Catholic, huh? No issue with it. I don't care one way or another, to be brutally honest about it. I have issues since the church (and noted in the link I provided) had witnesses that were physicians that attested to the decay.
They also know, however, most devout will accept what they present blindly.

Note Bernadette (I won't call her a Saint because man does not have the right to appoint anyone to sainthood.)
One inspection in a century? And it contradicts information presented in the previous post of mine with the link.

Thanks to the awesome Cory Shallow for a cool sigpic!!

Got it working.

Hm, I would really like some citation on that though.

More than one of these bodies have been damaged by persons attempting to wash them after disinternment. I am not sure what that means, nor do I really understand the incorrupt as it is not at all central to the teaching of the Church nor are we in anyway required to believe in these nor in any other private visions, even those which have been accepted as orthdox by the Church.

I bolded the portion where you tipped your hand as to your view of the Catholic Church. A "man" did not appoint someone a saint. The Church canonized those persons who after a series of investigation have been determined to be in Heaven with God.

The Church has the right to do this because Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom to his Peter upon the foundation of the Church.

You are not required to share my beliefs, but your expressions of disdain, skepticism and general disrespect reveal you to be somewhat lacking in information about Catholic teachings as well as Sacred Scripture.

Care to go some?
