Welcome to Gaia! ::

I'm having doubts about whether or not I want to go to college. I'm the kind of person who passes tests and all that crap without studying, and I don't want to study. All I've ever heard is you need to study if you want to stay in college. So, if I'm most likely going to drop out anyway is it really worth the debt? That's another thing. Bills, taxes, loans, job applications, etc. I don't know how to do any of that stuff. Is it really as hard as you adults make it out to be? Am I really going to be neck high in loans by the time I'm 30(only 15 right now)? And just to make this a debate, do you think someone that is scared of the responsibilities of growing up is more likely to fail at all that stuff than someone who doesn't really have any feelings on it at all besides the fact they they're going to get to have their own place?
Eh, you might not know it now, but you will learn it. It's normal to be afraid of the future, afraid of life being hard, but... life is not a bowl of sugar. Try it out, and if you want to stay, then do so, but if you wanna drop out, then drop out. Good luck.
Nah, it's not that bad. I was worried too, so I didn't start collage right away, but I finally got over it. I don't study that much either, and I have mostly high grades. And don't listen to Righot-Cho-Quichi, don't whore yourself out to the professors. You will do just fine if you work hard.
Hrm. Such a delema........ I knew I wanted to go to university so I am here. There is a lot of studing..... But there is time to have fun and unwind. Perhaps a year off would be good, it all depends on what you want to do as a job in the future. It's so much to ask at such a young age, but nonetheless you do need some sort of idea so you know which courses to take.
College is a lot of hands on work, so I would say go for it. It's quite an event so if you like or don't mind school then it's worth it ^_^
Hope this helps.
Currently under loads of stress from finance and work and I still am having the best time I've ever had in my life.

Parties! Independance! Plus the teaching methods at colleges/universities are nothing like the school system preceeding it. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Give her more credit than that, man. If she were that dumb, she shouldn't even apply for college. I just assumed we could all understand it wasn't a serious suggestion. No offense to those of you who would do it, of course.

one, learn how to study. two grow up a bit, life is hard no matter if you go into college or not. get an aducation, it's worth it.

i'm in college, and yes, i never had to study before and i do now. big deal. you're going to have to work and learn in any job, unless you want fast food.

and if you test so well, then you can get a scholarship with no problem. i'm only paying for my school supplies. the college is paying for my room, board, and tution. and there are tons of other forms of financial aid, like grants.

chill out. build good habits now so that you don't have to fight it all at once in college.
Try not to think about it. You can burn those bridges when you get to them.
First of all anyone can get admited into college, as long as they get the tution fee in.
Other than that, its either.. college or work.
Both are hard, I'm just saying, if grades are high, get a grant or something, therefore the state pays for you to go to school! You can just do the mandatory/requirements the college provides, once that is done, the world is open and ready.

Then again.. maybe not.
Going to college is all based on what you want to do with your life. If it suits your plan do it. If it interfears don't.
You're more likely to get a better job if you have more qualifications.

Skills are good!
You're 15! Worry about this kind of stuff in a year or two. Take a break from school when you graduate if you think you need the time off. Find a place that you want to go to if you want to go to college. Have fun, but still do your work. The Real World ain't no picnic, so avoid while you still can. There are "adults" out here who still act like little kids... stare
