know who was here first? Not humans. So, we should obviously GTFO and give it back to whatever had it before. Probably some microscopic creatures, or something.

What's the point of arguing over something we had no control over?

Just to recognize that when we're celebrating things like Columbus day and Thanksgiving we're really celebrating an impact colonists had that wasn't friendly to the whole class.
Montagnais here, over and out.

So we're celebrating genocide? That's ******** up.

Ever read about the French Revolution and Bastille Day? Better yet, go read the translated lyrics to the French National Anthem.

The French aren't humans and therefore don't count.

It's also true that you cited nothing and made a statement rather than tried to start an intelligent discussion.
I'm assuming that those who wish to respond have received a history lesson before.

I don't need to site anything. I'm not your ******** grade school teacher. wink

Then there's nothing left to discuss. You made a statement, not an argument. Arguments come with evidence, and yours is lacking that.

This is a popular topic during Thanksgiving where I'm from. And given, in many cases the American settlers wrongfully attacked Indians, (especially on the east coast like with Andrew Jackson and the trail of tears). But its historical fact that , (especially in the midwest with tribes such as the Comanche and Apache), but more often than not these tribes struck first, kidnapping many white captives, mostly young women.. and many of which were mutilated by the Indian women, and raped my Indian men.
The only question that comes to mind is: "So?"

Arguments actually come with a conclusion, not necessarily external evidence, as some are "self-evident". You are right that he made a statement, but he should still cite that statement.

Out here no one believes in anything they learned unless it's "cited" from the mighty god, Network.

Well, now Lord Mr. Ford, I just wish that you could see
What your simple horseless carriage has become
Well, it seems your contribution to man
To say the least, got a little out of hand
Lord Mr. Ford what have you done.
