Welcome to Gaia! ::

This is a popular topic during Thanksgiving where I'm from. And given, in many cases the American settlers wrongfully attacked Indians, (especially on the east coast like with Andrew Jackson and the trail of tears). But its historical fact that , (especially in the midwest with tribes such as the Comanche and Apache), but more often than not these tribes struck first, kidnapping many white captives, mostly young women.. and many of which were mutilated by the Indian women, and raped my Indian men.
It's also true that you cited nothing and made a statement rather than tried to start an intelligent discussion.

know who was here first? Not humans. So, we should obviously GTFO and give it back to whatever had it before. Probably some microscopic creatures, or something.

What's the point of arguing over something we had no control over?

I'm assuming that those who wish to respond have received a history lesson before.

I don't need to site anything. I'm not your ******** grade school teacher. wink

WTF kind of first grade teacher did you have if they cited things to you? And it's cite, not site. They weren't that good at spelling apparently.
Oh goodness, it's almost as if humans are brutal and barbaric regardless of what culture they were born into.

Could it possibly be that people in the past all possessed some degree of xenophobia and the desire to wipe out everything that was presented as a threat to their way of life?

*cough*

You need to spell 'cite' correctly and your teachers never cite anything. Students are the one's having to do all the citing and if you're saying something historical don't ******** assume that everyone's read the same goddamned conspiracy theorist "white people lie" that you have. Not everyone's quite as interested as you as spoon feeding yourself guilt and bathing in the pretentious notion that somehow knowledge=exemption from being a douche

Don't be condescending.

We are in complete agreement, and that was my point.

People shouldn't just wave their finger in any one direction.

If your "not interested" then why are you here? If your not informed on the issue then why are you commenting? gonk

I was under the impression that if I'm citing things on the issue, in other words I'm providing a legit source along with my statement.

What school did you go to where you were properly citing sources in the sixth grade?

Also I am here because I am enforcing the etiquette of the ED which is that you need to present some kind of discussion not something where evryone stops in and says 'yeah' and then leaves. That's spam. You are thereby a spammer. You are thereby in violation of the rules.

Just to recognize that when we're celebrating things like Columbus day and Thanksgiving we're really celebrating an impact colonists had that wasn't friendly to the whole class.
Montagnais here, over and out.
