It's possible to be wrong about human behavior, and guessing about what someone's motivations are without being a mind-reader would entail either knowing that person on a very deep level, or making biased assumptions based on their appearance and a small sample of their actions.

Again, empathy lets you know how people act, how they think, how they feel, and basic subconscious actions reveal aspects of their body language that can show that they are lying and whatnot.

However, if that became a major campaign issue, the person who promised obese people everything they ever wanted could probably garner at least 60% of the national vote.

It's important to feel positively about your body. I have actually had a recent change in my body, I lost 50 pounds and it would have been a lot harder to do that if I didn't love my body. It's been quite the journey, I never thought I would feel more insecure about my body. Thankfully, I have a great support system.

I think it's important to love your body no matter what your size, because you have to start some where, that doesn't mean you ignore your health risks. Sometimes you have to start with mental health and work your way to physical health. Trust me, you can loose weight and feel like sh*t about yourself, even if you're physically healthier.
