2012 feels just like a bunch of hype to me.
The Mayan calendar maker probably got hand cramps or something while making it and stopped writing it!
Besides, they didn't say the world would end. They said the world would change.
As for Nostradamus, his quatrains were so broad that they could be applied to so many events. They aren't predicting 2012.
If the world is to end in 2012, then I suppose that's the way it was supposed to be.
But I think the morning after the 24th or whenever it is to be, we'll all get up and sheepishly laugh at ourselves for getting worked up about another Y2K.

Truth is humans are facinated by apocalypse and they search around and find somthing with an end date and automatically assume it's the end of days. Happened on 2000 and countless other times throughout history. Bad stuff happens and we assume the ends comming. I use to work in a store and every month it was this date will be the end then it passed and a new date pops up. It's always been and always will be somthing people put out only cuz no one knows an end date but wants one anyway. Feeding on fear. 2012 will pass then it'll turn to 2015 saying nope it's when Jupiter aligns with planet x from the galaxy on the other side of the universe the earth will explode from the force that dosent exist! So the solar system will align with the galaxys center, so what this isn't some Sifi movie it's not gonna do a dang thing. We were close to that meteor hitting earth sometime ago and it passed. Things keep moving on. It's just major paranoia.

No the world is not ending just because an ancient calendar has no further dates on it. I don't believe that the world will "end" when God says in the Bible that it was made to stand forever.
Man may be able to destroy it with all the weapons they have stockpiled, but, God will not let the earth be destroyed when he has a clear purpose for this planet.

Well, now Lord Mr. Ford, I just wish that you could see
What your simple horseless carriage has become
Well, it seems your contribution to man
To say the least, got a little out of hand
Lord Mr. Ford what have you done.

I've heard it was meant to be the 21st of December 2012 the world was meant to end.
I don't know what to believe, to be honest.
They've said plenty of times before in the past that the world was going to die.
They said a few years back that there was a meteor heading straight for us. That never happened.
There there was last year with re-creating the big bang. That did nothing.
I've heard alsorts of other things as well but those are what I remember the most of.

I know what you're getting at though, me and my dad where watching that documentary a while a go. They predicted everything using the stars, e.g the Tsunami in 2004.
Their skills were way advanced to what ours are today. [/Nodnod.]
Their predictions were all correct in the past and with the end of the world it said there was a way to stop it from happening.
It might be true, it might not.

Personally, I don't know what to think of it, I just believe it's something they're saying to scare us like the last times.

I personally don't believe in any of it. Though I'm struggling with my religious views, due to many of life's bullshit occurances, I do not believe that the world will be coming to an end. For Christians who believe that this is the date that humanity will end, I suggest that they read their Bibles, and stop listening to the hype. In I Thelosians, it states that the Lord shall come as a thief in the night. No one knows the exact date, so quit trying.

For more logical thinking, as I am inclined to do, numbers, as well as time itself, is completely human derived. All of the aspects of time and counting systems had to be fabricated in the minds of our ancestors in order to build and sustain successful civilizations. For all we know, time in terms of numbers and prophesies might not even exist. No one really knows, because it took man to even start the process of time.

Think about Hailey's comet and how like clock work it comes around? What other things travel such unalterable paths through Space? We are destined for destruction and it may be on that type of clock that Hailey's comet keeps. We could not avoid it. Think about how we came to have our Moon? A collision that altered everything, is that something that is on a Universal clock? The problem that faces us is not one of a lack of energy but one of too much energy. Our race is to advance our technology to the point that these dooms day scenarios won't be a threat to us. But we are stuck fighting each other over crumbs of energy when the universe is filled with more then we could harvest if only we had the technology to plunder space we could be saved. Other then that doom is coming and it is just a matter of when. Excuse my ramble, no I think there is no magical date that anyone could predict. It will happen when it happens, unexpectedly.

I did a report on 2012. I posted it in my Journal. Apparently there will be global catastrophic events and all that stuff, not exactly the end of the world. Some say that its because the sun, black hole, and the earth will be in line and that hasn't happened before, causing the axis to tip and causing these events. I have also been thinking, it's supposed to happen on the 21st, what about the people who are hours behind/ahead of you, would it be on the 21st for them as well and the 20th/22nd for you? Also, for the person said that the Mayan calender dude died, what about the other people who predicted that it would happen on the 21st as well? Its plausible that something could or couldn't happen on those days.

There's one thing on my mind that disturbs me, almost scares me.
Okay, so lets say that the world actually will end December 25th of 2012,
They predict that the world will crumble, and the heavens will rain fire,
The world will go into shock,
But what about the "Christians"?

The "Christians" believe that the rapture is coming,
that God will come down and take all who are saved to heaven,
leaving those who aren't on earth to test their "Faith".
They will endure 7 years of torture,
A man will come and speak of False peace,
and claim he is the TRUE messiah.

But if the world is supposed to end "2012" then how will the 7 year tribulation start?
Because we only have "3" years!

Other religions believe that nothing will happen, and that there will be a New Beggining.

So who's wrong?

If the Mayans believe that the world is going to self destruct,
but the Christians think that Tribulation will start...
Do we really know when the world is gonna end?

That's what scares me...
Not stopping what's already been set into motion,
nobody knows when, or how.
Now I don't know what to believe.
If it is true then we only have 3 years...
3 years to make something out of our lives.

It's a scary thought.

Who do you think is right?

Hate to tell ya f**, but it's the 21st of December 2012, not Christmas. The 2012 crap has nothing to do with Christianity.

TRU FACT: My mom's birthday is December 21st. ******** YEAH! We're gonna party on the end of days!
