THANKSGIVING??

Do people even celebrate thanksgiving anymore? I feel like after Halloween came it went straight to christmas..Everyone is outside putting up christmas decorations. What happend to thanksgiving ones? If its on a calender then how come we dont celebrate it like before? Isnt this holiday a way for all humans to give thanks for what we have in this world? Then how come we dont do that anymore? How come we only ask and take but never give back? Is this what it has come down to? In the end do we even have a thanksgiving?

This is a good point but the entire idea is flawed in that the only reason why the pilgrims were able to continue survival is the fact that they gave the Indians a plague and took the dead one's land.

Christmas: Big dinner, lots of presents, trees, decorations, etc.

Commercialization and marketing. Thanksgiving doesn't require gifts for others, just family time and a nice meal. It's not profitable for stores to market a day of giving thanks. They profit over the Day of Gimmee.

lol...so true..thanksgiving is all about food and decorating thanksgiving turkeys..i saw this booth were they had crayons and paper and kids were suppost to draw a turkey for a prize..im like "are you kidding me?" People surprise me everyday.

My family celebrates Thanksgiving every year. We get together and have the best damn dinner of the whole year.

But really, it's not much of a holiday unless we're given candy or presents. xd

No. Thanksgiving is normally celebrated on the last Thursday of November and this year it falls on the 26th.
