Even without these points (heart beat, sentience, etc.) I think the main reason for avoiding abortion is that the embryo/fetus is living and will turn into a full grown baby, then on to a young child, adolescent...etc. Having an abortion at any stage is like pouring the cement for the base of a house, maybe getting the frame built and some wiring then demolishing it.

No, it won't necessarily do that. It could also result in a spontaneous abortion.
