The Assassin's guise is about the closest your going to get for now. if you want an actual revolver start a petition. I'm sure if they had guns to put down revolts they would have. I like both weapons, so it would be hard to choose one over the other.

I think a gun is cowardess since you don't have to get up close and actually defend yourself. A sword requires skill in blocking an attack, the ability to swing effectivly and keeping balance as you fight. A gun, the only skill you need is to know how to aim, and that can be learned in a week if it's your first time and you're dedicated, and probably less than a day for any similar style of gun. Go to the army, see if they ask how heavy a bullet is or how much ammo is left at any given time? If the wind is bad aim to the side to counter it, if the wind actually causes a difference. If you're out of bullets, stick more in. If you're standing and shooting at a moving target, why the hell aren't you behind cover either?

Back to your stilleto argument, you're referring to fencing which WAS a gentleman's sport in England.

BULLETS ARE SHAPED LIKE PENISES!!! Penetration!? HO NOES!!!

Then again, a sword is just a big d**k to smack people with.

Neither win.

The first one is that blades are silent. Is a silent kill honorable? Killing a man before he knows there was an enemy at hand? That's hardly fair, and fairness is a large portion of honor. Two men, facing each other on the field of honor, that is an honorable fight. One man slipping a stiletto between another's ribs is an deceitful assassination.

Silencers make guns a silent weapon...

The correct term is suppressors not silencers. I think the word silencer was created by hollywood movies. razz

Also, making a gun a from scratch can take several months same as making a sword.

Swords reqire no skill?

I think not.

And cowerdence is not stupidity. No intellegent person would go up against a gun with a sword unless they were immune to projectiles. Neither would a coward. Just a really stupid person.

And while there is no honor in killing, there is honor in standing before someone and seeing who is the better person (The Book of Five rings explains it well)
It really don't matter what the weapon is. Words included.

Gentlemen were pricks riding on the backs of peasants. Not really honorable.

Take two fourth paragraphs and call me in the morning. You have no goddamn idea what you're talking about. I know EXACTLY how heavy my bullets are, and it's not "aim to the side". It took me THREE YEARS to figure out how far to the side I should aim (much faster than most), and wind changes by the SECOND.

I think maybe you should find a re-enactment group and pick up a sword, engage in an obviously non-fatal battle with another person, and tell me just how cowardly you feel after that. Swords require you to get up close and personal with another person who could kill you just as easy as you could kill them, it all depends on whos smarter, faster, and stronger with their weapon.

You're off topic, please try an arguement that actually relates to swords or guns instead of pilfering taxes.

Run from a swordfight.
Run from a gunfight.
Which one do you live to get away from? Tell me which one the coward engages in.

Have you seen what large caliber rounds do to the human body? A 7.62. round from an AK-47 can do some serious damage, that is if you can hit the target, A .50 cal round will put a large hole in you or tear off a limb. A canon, like the ones used during the Civil War, can shred you to bits, amputate arms and legs. A sword can cause some gruesome injuries, but not like a gun can.

Not really, I was responding to your nonsense about a Gentleman's Sport. Who gives a f**k about Gentleman's Sports? It didn't invalidate his stiletto argument.

Show me a bladed weapon that might be comparable to a cannon and your argument might have a point.
