Rebeldoomer Hello, You added some good points that most people did not think about. Well, its mostly due to the fact that a majority of people who write these kinds of threads are pro-sword. Quote: But, I gotta say that there are pros and cons on both weapons. Really? (Don't worry, I won't royally tear you apart on these, I'll just make corrections) Quote: -You say swords kill people silently, guns can kill you silently as well by attaching a silencer. Actually this is incorrect. A silencer/suppressor only muffles the sound the gun makes when you fire it. It isn't completely silent, its just harder to hear. Quote: -You say swords are barbaric because you can kill someone up close and person, I agree with you on this. You can shoot someone from a mile away with a .50 BMG or .416 round and would not even know you killed a human being. You can also be at point blank range with a .50 BMG, though it isn't exactly ideal, and get a kill. Quote: -You say swords will give you a painful death, I say guns can do the same, unless you shoot someone in the brain which is a painless death. This one varies on where the attack hits. A cut to the arm isn't going to hurt as much as a shot to the balls, for instance. Quote: -You say the sword takes no skill to use, I say the gun is slightly more complex. For the sword, you hold handle, you lift sword, then move sword on target as fast as possible. For the gun, you load ammo in your magazine, put magazine in your firearm, take off the safety, pull back the firearm which loads the bullet in the gun, then pull the trigger at target. ...Well I don't have to worry about this one. Man its great to be back. |
