That is exactly what he is saying.
There is no legal reason? That's why we change those laws to suit the current times, it's called evolution. THe problem is fundamentalist Christianity STILL dictate many of America's state laws, and they like Octane are working to dictate federal laws.
The church has been imposing their morals down our thoughts for 2000 years, it's time for a change. It's time for Christianity to evolve with the times. not hold it back like it's been doing. The only legal reason to allow same sex marriages is EQUAL CIVLE RIGHTS. and the RIGHTS to be recognized as a minority to be protected by the same laws that protects the church from hate crimes. And to be protected by the law from work place discrimination. THAT is the true agenda of the GLBT community.
