I'm seriously disgusted with lawyers that defend these perverts and work to get them reduced sentences. It should be a mandatory life sentence for teachers that do that s**t. Or a bullet in the noggin.

There was a teacher recently in Texas who was arrested on child molestation charges for sleeping with 5 students. The students in question were 18 years old

If sex offender lists were limited to the worst of the worst, the *****, the rapists, etc, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But you have men on there who were merely accused of a sex crime and took a plea deal to avoid a costly trial and jail time, so they may or may not actually have committed a crime. You also have men on these lists for minor vices such as public urination. There are also men who at age 17 and 18 slept with their 15 or 16-year-old girlfriends and were then reported for it.

The non-violent "sex offenders" are no more dangerous to children than the average person is and shouldn't be treated as if they were.

That's not child molesting, but I definitely see the teacher/student power ratio in that factor, and understand it.
I also believe that there should be a federal network so teachers can't go to other states with bad records and go back to work. And yeah, it does happen.
