you know how you have mabie a health class and you learn about your body ect. well shouldnt they teach the students about BOTH sexes? an example would be...
a boy learns about his "equipment" but he never gets ANY knowlage of girls. so he gets older and gets a gf but has no clue about her "equipment" or something.

we learned about both sexes. haha sex ed is funny! i miss it crying

Our school system has us discuss sex, pregnancy and puberty in health class with a large group of both boys and girls. I really feel that it's good for people of both sexes to be able to talk about it together, so that we can see both sides of the story, and understand each other.

And at the end of class, we are all given slips of paper. Our health teacher tells us to just write down an embarassing questions we might have, so that no one will know it was you who asked. If you don't have a question, just write anything down, so that no one will feel uncomfortable that they are the only one writing anything. The next day, she reads them aloud. Some of them I can see why the author didn't ask in front of everyone. I think that's a good system, because then you don't have to be afraid of asking.

Anyhow, I believe that Sex Ed shouldn't be made into a big deal by seperating people and everyone acting awkward. Homones hapen to everyone, so I don't know why it has to be kept a secret.

We had this little session about it in gr.6 and our guest speaker did the same thing with us. If we had a question we could write it down and then stick it in the box they had. It was really awkward, and people were giggling and everything.

And in grade 8 we did sex ed again but it was mostly about abstinence and diseases..thank goodness we didn't have any visuals. One time in class we were listing ways to express love for our 'partner' other than sex, and this one really quiet kid who seemed to be very uncomfortable about the whole sex ed thing said "take a shower together". Our class burst out laughing, it wasn't the actual suggestion that was so funny but the fact that he said it.
Thank god that when we did this we were seperated from the guys. If we weren't then I would sink in my chair and just make it like I am not there. Because when this does happen everyone snickers and thinks its funny. They mostly teach us about ourselves I wonder if the boys got the same?
Oh man... the diseased wang pictures... those things scarred me. gonk
Meh. The sex ed classes they have here should be switched with the parent and child development classes. Seriously. Everyone who comes out of sex ed knows jack s**t and is afraid of having sex at all because they've learned of some disease that could make your d**k rot off or something. While everyone who comes out of the parent and child development class has a kid within a few months, which obviously means they know something.

Not only that, but the sex ed classes here dont teach the guys anything. We got to learn about our junk, and then we saw a crudely drawn diagram which we had to study for a test that we were to take the next day. The girls got to learn about both genders junk, and watched both videos. I think the only thing that they actually did for both classes was show "The video". You know, the one where it shows the woman right before she has a kid, while she has her kid, and right after. And where they shoot one of the women in the back with this huge freaking needle. They were supposed to hand out condoms too, but they didnt have enough or someone threw a fit about it or something because we never got them.

Whoa... I don't know HOW they did it... but they somehow got a camera inside a woman's gina while 2 people were having sex. We were watching it in Bio. eek

I do not want to know how they did that. eek
We learned about it in grade 6, not much, but a bit. It was really akward because everyone was giggling and blushing, even the teacher. But then in grade 7 the teacher was more forward about it and even made jokes.
I think that kids should learn about both genders "equipment", because if teachers tell you about safe sex, then they should tell you about genitals.
Enh, I learn that stuff.

i had sex ed tests where i had to memorize where all the female and male parts were on a diagram and write them down etc,and a view q's here and there,it was torture >.< in junior high eek
i think there should be sex education because if not well than we won't know what it is because our parents aren't gonna tell us everything about it
I saw an actual sex movie in sex ed. xd

Oh, we have that in Canada. Our Sex ed class is designed for sex.

Grade Six: This is the clitoris. Rubbing of it can create intense sexual pleasure.

Seriously.

It started in Grade 5 for me. Both sexes. We watched what has been nicknamed as 'The movie'. NOT FUN FOR A 11 YEAR OLD.

If people showed me porn at 11, I would crack up really, really badly.

"OMG p***s ha ha!"

I'm am proud to be a total non-pervert.

I'm proud to be a non-pervert 99% of the time.

Good lord. This is the kind of sex ed we need.

I thought our sex ed classes were pretty comprehensive. I knew what my plumbing looked like and what it did as well as that of the opposite sex, so I figured the boys got the same thing. Until my best guy friend and another female friend were in a porn store and he started trying to explain how the v****a works. I don't even remember the full explanation anymore, but I remember being in tears from laughing so hard. So either he didn't pay attention or the guys just didn't get to watch The Girl Video.
