No, I don't care for people who claim to be "superior" to animals, and yet behave like mindless, ruthless, heartless creatures who have no purpose in life except to bring misery to those smaller and weaker than them. I think the world could do without such people.

The canadian seal hunts are an effort to keep the seal populations under control.

Under control is one thing, but to take it to the extent that they are nearly endangered, is another. The Canadian seal population has dropped to less than a tenth of what it used to be fifty years ago. Did you happen to read the very last image posted in the original message? It's not just a matter of keeping the population under control anymore, it's about hunters using their fur for money.

Ok, put it this way. Seals are a food source for over twenty three different types of whales. If the killing continues, you're not just cutting down their population, but your destroying an entire food chain. But all your thinking about it your cute little boots and your furry little scarves, right?

What about the families that rely on the income seal fur brings in? What if I did a photo-op of the starving children of the sealers instead? Everyone would be gung-ho to club seals, that's what. Don't let the cuteness factor make your decisions for you. There is a lot to consider.

Actually if you must know, pesticides have been banned in our community thanks to a petition we sent in to the county last year. They don't spray anywhere near our area.
