It happens.
In my high school, the city kids (who were primarily of African descent) would:
~ Skip in any and all lines
~ Blatantly ignore the dress code
~ Initiate public displays of affection (prohibited in the school)
And the moment anyone tried to correct them (IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SCHOOL POLICIES) they would cry 'discrimination!'... and then be allowed to go on as they pleased, because the school (which was filled with predominantly white, upper-middle-class students and staff of primarily Western European descent) was scared to death of a lawsuit.
Now, I realise that this may not be exactly what you were referring to in your post.
Just saying... even if it's there in a small way, it's there, and it's stupid and unfair that some people consider themselves above the rules because another race 'owes them something'.
"In a haze, these days,
I pull up to the stop light,
I can feel something's not right,
I can feel someone blasting me with
Hate and bass,
Sendin' dirty thoughts my way,
'Cuz my great-great-great-great-granddad
Owned someone's great-great-great-great-granddaddy-slaves.
It wasn't my idea.
It really wasn't my idea.
Never was my idea."
