Then you get to have -
No anesthetic, no antiseptic surgery, no vision correction, and no genetics. They were all discovered by people of Faith. Making the assumption that christian have done nothing to advance technology is a bit foolish.
Oh hell no! You did not just ascribe all of these things to christianity!
The people who invented all of these things used science to do so. The fact that they happened to be christians is coincidental; or rather, non-christians weren't inventing many things at the time because they were too busy being killed for heresy.
Quote:
As for evolutionist-only medication because medication was invented by evolutionists - well, in that case you can get out of America (assuming you live there), since it was founded in Christendom.
Actually, no. Goddammit Texas, this is your fault!
Have you NEVER read about Jefferson, Franklin, or the other founding fathers? Most of them were VERY secular for the time. I mean, think about it; freedom of speech, freedom of religion, separation of church and state... do those sound like something a devoutly religious man would come up with?
You're an idiot.
You're an even bigger idiot.
Quote:
All of the above are founded in theism.
No they weren't. You assume just because some of the ideas are found in theism, that one is a direct result of the other! There's a lot of stuff in theism that was judged immoral. For example: no graven images. Bullshit, that infringes on our freedom of speech. I am the lord thy god? ******** no, freedom of religion.

Not to mention that medicine probably wouldn't exist at all without Muslims and their medieval medicine.
Which, in turn, came from Aristotle, who used science, and was brought there by Alexander when he went conquering. Booya.
1. They were invented by men of faith. Your excuses are just that, excuses. Simply attempting an end around.
No cookie for attempting to side step it.
2. They were men of faith, most were deists. Although they had faith, they did not feel that the federal government had a right to install a national religion. This was also one of the main reasons people came to America in the first place, to escape religious persecution.
Thus, yes, men of faith CAN be for secular government, so that they respect the different beliefs of others. Doesn't automatically make them christian, merely intelligent men who decided, wisely, to let others choose their faith and live their life according to those beliefs as long as no one was hurt by them.
As for the graven images and such? Got bad news. Those rules only apply to the Christians, not to the athiests or others. Nice try, though.
Morals and ethics? What are morals? Most people, left to their own devices, wouldn't exactly be pinnacles of morality. Take a look at our supposedly 'ethical' leadership. Can we have a six month period without some scandal?
And you are, again, ignoring Aristotle and others belief structures and attempting to claim that the only religion allowed in this conversation is Christianity. Not accurate.
