to reap the medical benefits of evolution. Basically, you get sick, use your own immune system for treatment because you don't deserve antibiotics. I'm not trying to promote eugenics here, but when someone denies evolution and tries to ban it in schools, then why should they be entitled to get treatment for a disease or get vaccinated? That would make them hypocrites.

What does evolution have to do with medicine?

Antibiotics wipe out all but one or two cells that are causing infections and since the ones that survive antibiotics are genetically immune, they reproduce offspring that have the same traits and then the antibiotics are useless and scientists have to find how to counteract that.

Evolution is a lot more complicated than that. there are some aspects of evolution that even people who don't agree with the entire theory of evolution will agree with. It's that parts about us coming from monkeys or fish that are crazy. It's kinda stretching it to say that the science of medicine has everything to do with all aspects of evolution.
So yeah, people are not necessarily anti-science just because they are anti the theory of evolution.

Actually, evolution in and of itself is simply defined as a change in allele frequency [the frequency at which various genes appear] in a population over time. The processes which cause this change to happen a rather complicated and are detailed in the theory of evolution. But evolution itself is not that complicated a concept.

1. They were invented by men of faith. Your excuses are just that, excuses. Simply attempting an end around.

2. They were men of faith, most were deists. Although they had faith, they did not feel that the federal government had a right to install a national religion. This was also one of the main reasons people came to America in the first place, to escape religious persecution.
Thus, yes, men of faith CAN be for secular government, so that they respect the different beliefs of others. Doesn't automatically make them christian, merely intelligent men who decided, wisely, to let others choose their faith and live their life according to those beliefs as long as no one was hurt by them.

As for the graven images and such? Got bad news. Those rules only apply to the Christians, not to the athiests or others. Nice try, though.

Morals and ethics? What are morals? Most people, left to their own devices, wouldn't exactly be pinnacles of morality. Take a look at our supposedly 'ethical' leadership. Can we have a six month period without some scandal?

Evolution is atheistic in the sense that it doesnt incorporate deity on the framework. Everything has to be naturalistic. It does rule out any active role of a deity. Atheist means godless right?
