Creationists. They are the biggest threat to our public school system, intentionally attempting to undermine a century and a half of scientific research in order to brainwash the minds of impressionable children who will believe just about anything because they realize they have no leg to stand on when it comes to sensible adults.

I cannot find them dangerous. My reply to your post: So what?

So....brainwashing children so that they believe fabrications are the absolute truth is okay? I think it's pretty dangerous to build "Armies of God" in preparation for a "spiritual war" with non-believers and evil doers, etc. I'm just waiting for the second (or is it third?) Crusade to roll around, long before the fabled Race War.

You've changed the topic from Creationists to fundamentalist terrorists.

Same thing. At least, every Creationist is potentially a fundamentalist terrorist. Even without the violent aspect of it, I don't see how brainwashing children to ignore a proven scientific theory and believe in utter tripe as absolute fact is "not dangerous."

I sincerely doubt that the majority of Americans are race war terrorists. The Gallup poll indicates that more than half of all Americans doubt evolution. By your theory that would place these Americans in the danger zone.

The story of creation and the garden mythos are easy for children to get. It hardly takes brainwashing. Unless you think that Red Riding Hood is also a form of brainwashing, sir.

Red Riding Hood doesn't posit that you must believe it is the absolute truth or face an eternity of suffering. Creationism and Creationists, on the other hand, do. And as history shows, are willing to take violent measures in order to drive their point home.

The lowest are racists. The second are creationists. I don't dislike people simply for being Christian. I have known some really cool Christians in my life. But I would probably place them next since I strongly disagree with their religion. Satanists are at the top. twisted

I knew that creationists would be a strong temptation to select for ED. cool

I am not fond of creationists, but racists are FAR worse. I was not tempted at all to pick creationists over racists.

I adopted a... thing!

Still no better to look down upon those who look down on others as you stoop to their level.

No Christian creed has belief in the literal interpretation of Genesis as the root of salvation. blaugh

It is good to remember that humans are not devils, this is true. However, as to being perfectly honest with ourselves t'is second nature to do ranking.

No Christian creed, but several Christians do. Either way, the literal account of Genesis hardly matters to many Christians I've come across. What matters is that people believe the universe and everything contained within was created by their particular deity.

To the Topic Starter: You forgot to put Jews in the poll.

I only say that because they are one of the most debated group of people. Why put christians and not them too?

I am farely well versed in Christian doctrines. Jerry Falwell came the closet to saying this, however that is not a portion of the Baptist's "Sinner's Prayer." Accepting Christ as one's savior is all Fundamentalists require for salvation.

I have spoken at length with some Bible Baptist college professors who although denouncing Evolution conceded that to believe in it has no bearing on one's salvation in the yes of God.

That is a good question, LUZ. I did not put Jews there because I haven't perceived hating Jews as different from Racism.

Censors and the moral 'elite' of any variety now that I think about it.

.worth exactly what they cost.
.lives collapse without a sound blown away like paper bags before the rain.
.light sinks from her eyes like diamonds in a drain.

I have never heard of a moral elite before. I don't much like censorship except when it is for the protection of the sensibilities of minor children.

Gay rights are about love. Let us therefore show love to each other.

I don't look down on anyone. But racism bothers me most.

Well, now Lord Mr. Ford, I just wish that you could see
What your simple horseless carriage has become
Well, it seems your contribution to man
To say the least, got a little out of hand
Lord Mr. Ford what have you done.
Still no better than those you look down upon for looking down upon others.
