Creationists. They are the biggest threat to our public school system, intentionally attempting to undermine a century and a half of scientific research in order to brainwash the minds of impressionable children who will believe just about anything because they realize they have no leg to stand on when it comes to sensible adults.

So....brainwashing children so that they believe fabrications are the absolute truth is okay? I think it's pretty dangerous to build "Armies of God" in preparation for a "spiritual war" with non-believers and evil doers, etc. I'm just waiting for the second (or is it third?) Crusade to roll around, long before the fabled Race War.

Same thing. At least, every Creationist is potentially a fundamentalist terrorist. Even without the violent aspect of it, I don't see how brainwashing children to ignore a proven scientific theory and believe in utter tripe as absolute fact is "not dangerous."

I sincerely doubt that the majority of Americans are race war terrorists. The Gallup poll indicates that more than half of all Americans doubt evolution. By your theory that would place these Americans in the danger zone.

My position: Not including criminals, racists are the lowest of the low.

....Really? What about sexism, prejudice against certain religious groups, prejudice regarding social class, prejudice regarding age groups and prejudice against homosexuals, bisexuals, ect? Are any of those more noble?

There are different levels of racism too, some people are violent and crude, others are less shrill but can't help feeling discomfort.

I think... you're just hoping someone will pat your butt and praise you for not being racist. Its just another way to feed a sense of superiority.

The criteria for this thread is to select one of four groups that you "most" look down upon. Respondents are free to post other groups so long as they exclude criminals for the sake of argument.

In my OP I took an aggressive stance: "Racists are the lowest," to provide the topic with a base for argumentation. If you do not agree that racists are the lowest on the poll option or if you can think of some other group more deserving of your ire, then your part was to discuss that.

But what does `doubts about` refer to? If they are just doubting it, we can walk them through the evidence. If, however, they will refuse to look at the evidence, that's when we need to be worried.

I am also a Christian Catholic. However, I do realize that Christianity has been a battleground for ED. Christians fall short of the Gospel. As a wise man once said, "Christianity has never been tried (as in a court of law) and found wanting. However it was found difficult and therefore never tried."
