Some people don't like the a bit of the millions of dollars they make every year to go into projects for the poor, homeless, and the middle-class who are paying out the a**.

Uhh, wouldn't angry and overtaxed middle class folk then vote for Obama? The man's tax plan gives the entire middle class a pretty significant tax break and an even bigger break when you try and send kids to college.

Honestly, most of our tax dollars go to military spending these days. It's our Big Expenditure. If people were really fiscally conservative they'd demand we bring our troops home and cease this pointless exercise in empire building when within 15 years most of the energy resources Iraq has will be greatly diminished in value.

And before you say, "We can sell that oil to China and Russia" hold that thought. What we could sell for a hell of a lot more money is massive engineering projects to upgrade the solar, wind and geothermal infrastructures of these countries.

The future of the US is far more secure if we begin radically investing in non-oil energy technology, getting 20 years ahead of everyone else in that, and then selling it off.

No argument with me that the government spends too much money, they do! If spending it on the military keeps us safe from terrorists, then that is just the price we have to pay.

As far as Obama giving us a tax break, don't kid yourself. He and Biden can't get their numbers straight, I have heard Obama say two figures 250,000 and 200,000 and below will get a break. Biden has said 100,000 and below will get a break. I don't think they have a clue what they are talking about. They'll just say anything. Guys like Obama and Biden never give any thing back to the middle class, they just tax and spend.
what terrorists?

lol. They could be in Africa and we'd still be in Iraq.

Some people feel safe with a night light on, even though it doesn't really do much good. That's the sit-rep in Iraq. The only time we're really killing terrorists, and its not Al Qaeda but the people we "liberated" from Sadam Hussein, is when they run into the troops and blow themselves up.
I'm not sure what you mean by that, but we haven't had any terror attacks since 9/11. So the war on terror seems to be working.
they don't have a navy, they don't have an airforce. they can't invade us. They can only try to sneak in with bombs. Not to mention, it wasn't Iraq that did 9-11. I'd say we haven't had any terror attacks due to air marshals being required to carry firearms now. Problem solved.

Obama is pro-choice. Not pro-baby killing.
McCain actually cares enough who a stranger sleeps with to spend money to support proposition 8.
The majority of peole actively supporting McCain on this thread are n00bs who type in ALL CAPS.
And before people get on me about that, no, I would not actually base my political opinion off of a few people who can't spell on an internet forum.
Change we can believe in.
And do I even have to mention that phone call from the 'french president' today? rofl

Obama thinks it is OK to kill a baby that is born alive in a failed abortion attempt.

False.
The only babies born alive after a failed abortion that are let to die in Illinois are those that the doctors don't believe have a realistic chance of survival outside of the womb.
All others are cared for just as if they were born under normal circumstances.

I find some Americas are often too much worring about potential threats like they ARE going to happen. The US Government doesn't dissuade this illusion, in fact I would say it encourgaes this sense of constant forboding and necessity to protect, It helps confirm the idea that spending lots of money into miltary protection and that owning guns is VITAL to the public saftey and that without you WILL be attacked.

The Miltary likes it's people to think they are protecting you. It's Protection money.
Terrorism has always been a threat. It's only come to fore due to 9/11 but there has always been plots, the government is just cashing in on this hysteria.
I also see it as a possible divergence from the miltary's failure to apprehend Osama Bin Laden or to divert from the fact that WMD were never actually confirmed.
It's a conjuring act on a grand scale if this is fact.

As for the number crunching, well I'm not American so don't know whats been said on that front, but taxing more for those with a higher income isn't going to break the bank for them. Living costs are essentially the same no matter how rich you are, it's just the richer you are the more you can spend. And whose to say that they work harder for that cash? I think too many people are worrying about luxuries for the rich.

Basically, look at the bigger picture. Okay, before 9/11, when was the last foreign terror attack on the US?

Let me try again. Troops in Iraq, at first, made the masses feel safe. But why were the troops in Iraq? 9/11. An attack from Al Qaeda. But now, the only attacks we really get are from the native Iraqis who are angry about foreign occupiers, wouldn't you be?

Or in another way, the Iraq War is like the Vietnam war.

Also, it's a lot easier to kill Americans by crossing into Iraq and blowing them up than it is to try to accomplish that on American soil. We brought targets to them.

Anyone knows that terrorists attacks on American soil occur once in a blue moon. I can't even remember the last time we had a seriously devastating terrorist attack prior to 9/11.

Plus, something tells me that if there are people who can to attack your country, they aren't going to be afraid of some guys that are thousands of miles away from where they are plotting their plans to attack a country. They don't give a ******** where we're stationed, and the simple fact is if they were going to attack us, they wouldn't delay their attack for any reason. Circumstance means very little to them.

And if we left, Iraq would become basically stable, but does anybody find it ironic that the USA plays Peace Keeper by sending in armed forces?

ha ha, I think Obama will take the US far, more than Bush can probably. I don't think McCain has the potential to do something so stressing..... even though the one behind him has far more potential than anyone else on the committee. Well, even though both sides has benefits.... eh... maybe I should go vote for the Green Party..... heart

Of course! Are you daft? Potential to ruin medications, scientific research, a chance to find cures for diseases, and to basically screw up half the world.
