I personally think marriage is pretty overrated. Finding someone you love and getting married to start a family is fine, it's great, but what I mean is, there shouldn't be so much pressure by society to find someone and get married. It's WAY too overblown. Look at how much people spend on wedding ceremonies, it's stupid. You have these women who are taught to look forward to their wedding day, how it's going to be the biggest, best day of their life, so they go crazy to make the wedding live up to their expectations. But when you hype up the wedding so much, afterwards there's nowhere to go but down. There's more than one woman out there who found themselves bored and not knowing what to do after they're married. If I do find a guy I want to marry, I don't expect him to spend a lot of money on a ring, nor do I intend to spend fifteen thousand dollars on a ceremony.

Let's all celebrate a broken tradition that has a 50% divorce rate in the U.S. Then when I found out the woman I have married has fallen out of love with me or I her, I give her half of everything that is mine. My kids get an adorable feeling of guilt, which will surely result in them having some warped need for attention. All the while, I get to be constantly reminded of my mistake as I give child support to some woman I use to ********.

I will probably get married for legal reasons. I don't feel like my relationship would be changed that much by it. I think marriage can be a sweet cultural gesture or a practical legal move. It can also be a means of oppression. It really depends on the culture and reasoning behind it.
I'll probably marry in my late 20's.

I think that in general marriage itself isn't important. I want to get married one day because I think it would be really lovely. The romanticism and the comfort of such a thing.

1) Legal marriage no longer serves much of a purpose. A ceremony is fine though.
2) Don't support legal marriage, and since a ceremony is little more than a ritualized promise, any age is fine (within reason)
3) Legally? No, creates more problems than it fixes.

Marriage is silly. It's just a relationship that you get more for being in, but it's really expensive to break up.
