Alcohol messes with your brain. Tobacco messes with your brain. And a lot of medicines do as well. Why are they ok and weed not?

haha! im not against weed in and of itself. haha. this is a great topic. oh. btw im a christian. but it also says in the bible that ur body is the temple of god and that you should keep it clean. which is what christians will spout to you. but i dont see anything wrong with a hit once in awhile. >_< this is my own personal opinion. i personally dont like pot much... its stanky, but if im in the mood and with friends then why not. god never said it was illegal... but then again in the bible he tells us to follow the jurisdiction of the government we live under and in the US they have weed illegal. so yea i guess its a sin to smoke pot in the US. but to me its not a big deal. as a christian i acknowledge that im sinning which is even worse if i think about it but i wont and ill just stop right here and see what you make of this. haha. im such a weird christian. sigh. lmao.

To be high is not illegal.However, possession IS illegal. It was outlawed in the 20's, hence the term "Great Depression."

I smoke weed, and here is my agument as to why i think Marijuana, as aposed to other drugs is ok.

With most drugs, if you take or do too many, you can overdose and die. With majiuana, if you smoke too much you pass out. you can't smoke any more if your unconsious, so you can't kill yourself.

Also, marijuana is not physicaly addictive. This doesn't mean that no one can get addicted to it, because if you have an addictive personallity you can get addicted to almost anything. What it does mean is that your body doesn't grow to need it in order to function properly unlike, nicotine, cocane, haroine, and methamphetamines.

Furthermore, I would have to argue that the anti-weed laws are unconstitutional. Recreational drugs present a threat only when there is violence or illegal activites to obtain them. When marijuana was legal, there wasn't much of criminal activity in the drug area.
