My meaning of Life.

Its a Circle.

a more in-depth view i have come up with is this

what came first the chicken or the egg?

well my answer to that is that there is no answer to a Circle.

but lets take a side step...

now are you different from your best friend? or the same?

or are you different from your worst enemy? or the same?

my thought is that we are all the same. mind and body.

the only thing that makes us "different" is our life experiences

if i was born into your family and grew up the same way you did how could you say that i wouldn't turn out to be like you?

i believe we are all the same.

The chicken. Before it came the dinosaur, and before it came the single-celled organism... with a few steps in between, of course.
The BIack Star
...there is no answer to a Circle.
Since when is a circle a question, and how does this relate to chickens?

Wow, it must be hard for you to get any privacy.

Also, if you're the same as your enemy, how do you justify that person as being an enemy? One would think that with the kind of empathy you're talking about, you couldn't have enemies...
The BIack Star
the only thing that makes us "different" is our life experiences
And that pesky thing called "DNA", but who really gives that stuff any credence these days...
The BIack Star
if i was born into your family and grew up the same way you did how could you say that i wouldn't turn out to be like you?
Siblings who grew up in the same family are often very unlike one another, so...
The BIack Star
i believe we are all the same.
You're wrong, thankfully; If you weren't, the world would be an awfully boring place.

...But seriously, oneness is an interesting philosophy on the whole, and breeds compassion, so overall it's not a bad view to have about things. Now, just remember that it's only a philosophy and not a truth.

xD i like how you tore that apart

and really all this philosophy is really for is to open up peoples minds a little

i could have easally just started a thread saying treat others as you would your self or put yourself in someone elses shoes but i prefer this route

and just to throw something back at you the whole sibling thing as i stated life experiences are a big part of your personality

therefore no we are not all the same but yet we are my philosophy is a circle as well

As is your wont; I personally prefer a more direct approach.
The BIack Star

...yet, that conflicts with the idea of oneness. If two people are treated to the same circumstances, their views and opinions of it will be different, proving that they actually aren't the same at all.
The BIack Star
therefore no we are not all the same but yet we are
Either something is the same or it is different; it can't be both things at once, because that would be a contradiction, and contradictions don't exist in nature.
The BIack Star
my philosophy is a circle as well
Out of curiosity, have you ever tried squaring that circle...?

well look at it like this...

yes the two siblings were brought up similarly BUT what about there friends? the different teachers they have had? or the fact that they have a sibling that is ether older or younger?

all im saying is that its your life experiences that make you YOU

so live your life how you want

thats part of it

contradictions do exist in nature lol like how some frogs are toxic while others only look toxic

same with like snakes and such plants too humans as well

If you're going to LOL something, make sure it actually refutes something I'm saying - because the example(s) you gave weren't even contradictions.

In classical logic, a contradiction consists of a logical incompatibility between two or more propositions. It occurs when the propositions, taken together, yield two conclusions which form the logical, usually opposite inversions of each other. Illustrating a general tendency in applied logic, Aristotle's law of noncontradiction states that "One cannot say of something that it is and that it is not in the same respect and at the same time."

Ergo, multiple things cannot be "the same" and "different" simultaneously. If any single thing between like entities is not the same, they are "different" - period. They may be remarkably similar, even in multiple ways, but they're still not "the same".
