1. The government could mandate the sex workers get tested on a regular basis.
2. Taxable income. This leads to more revenue for the government.
3. Preventing people from going to prison just because they need to pay their rent.
4. Prevent pimps from taking too much money. (I'm not sure about this.)

This issue doesn't affect me really.

My opinion is that it's okay to legalize. I think there may be benefits to it such as regulation of STD testing and the like. Might actually keep more of the masses a bit cleaner.

However, just like the porno industry I do believe that besides the completely havoc brained there will be less and less a need for prostitution in the future. Think about all the online dating sites, the online hook-up sites and so forth for the pathetic. All it takes is basic working knowledge of a computer and in some cases a library in which no one looks over your shoulder.

So it really wouldn't bother me at this point for it to be legal or illegal. Only the insanely stupid would pay for something that even the absolutely tragic can get.

This actually assumes they get business. If they don't they are still going to jail and temp centers are more effective than prostitution for the majority of the populace since people still will have a mental block about it regardless. Some will even go to prison first.

I know you're not sure because it's a myth. As a matter of fact it makes it easier to take the money; you set up certain types of accounts and whatnot for a "rainy day" with a contract agreement saying that you can take that part out of their paychecks, even at 2% that's fine, and voila you've got an account you can plot as "your retirement" even if on the books its for a rainy day. Further just glamorize the money; if it's enough the young won't care and they are your primary source of income anyway.

So fake ID's work or rather you can't prove that you haven't suffered and there are external proofs that fake ID's work ( undermining anecdotal untraced track-record ). That's it.

This of course causes issues when our less than tip-top customer drunk with the concept of sex is more than willing to just glance and not hold it up the light and all such things and then have sex ( the more advanced ID's work that way ). Realistically it is highly unlikely that you're going to demand even regular ID prior to sex, so a Whoring ID? I doubt it'd work to the extent that the hopefuls are holding.
