No. McCain's bills support businesses. Big and Small... For this reason Our Business Taxes are the second highest in the world.... Something we don't need if we want more jobs, more business, and to keep companies from moving overseas.

Obama's plan?

Alienate the people who move the money.

But I digress.. Both tax plans suck, we need the Fair Tax and we needs it now.

That's actually a fairly valid point, but it goes both ways. People will spend more if they can afford it.

Tuition is brutal, and my generation struggles to get through school. Most of us have to work and do school at the same time AND take out 40000+ in student loans. Every little bit helps as we work towards our, and this country's future. I wanna stop borrowing textbooks. ;0;

Even though you're right about them both having flaws...both too extreme...I have to pick the one that helps my generation more.

That's the problem, your looking in the short term.

If we lower business taxes more jobs are created thus interjecting the economy with money.

The other way is a short term fix, that ultimately drives business away.

I think it should stay this way to an extent even after I'm all settled in my 40s. There's always a new generation coming and struggling. They'll end up running this place after me. When I'm old and tired. When I'm dead. I'm looking ahead at future generations as well.

Right now, we need more than usual to get consumers buying again. Once we pull out of the recession, I would like the percentages to even out a little more between the different classes. But I will NEVER think that big business should get more perks than the new generation, leaving them to struggle and/or perhaps fail to get full educations.

I have read that there are lots of fine-print loopholes, allowances, etc that businesses can utilize to minimize their taxes as well...evening things out in their favor. Little guys are little-- they can't afford fancy accountants, and they are simple employees so they can't find as many loopholes.

Things usually end up balancing in the end. We go back and forth from Republican to Democrat in attempts to maintain an overall balance over the years.

Which is why I support the Fair Tax...

Hey, everybody. I made that picture on the front page available as a signature.

It sounds interesting. For the most part, I am a moderate, so it could be up my alley. At a glance it looks good--I'll have to read into it more. Thanks for the link.
I read in the newspaper that Joe doesn't even have a plumbing license and owes $1,200 in taxes.

Yeah, it got a little old, but it's true. Pulmbers make a lot of money, and he's planning on buying his buisness.

Here's the exchange that started all the fuss

That guy has a very valid point. It is pretty uncalled for that some suit in Washington wants to decide for you that you make too much money and should be penalized for it, when every one else that's "poorer" than you gets off scott free.

So it's better that the RICHEST part of the country pays almost nothing so they keep getting richer while the burden falls on the shoulders of the middle class? ******** that. The upper class can start putting in their fair share. They ARE RICHER so therefore THEY SHOULD BE TAXED more as it is relative to their wealth.

THEY earned the money. Why should they be forced to spend it on people who don't work as hard? That's the thought of capitalism. Even low-income people grumble about being taxed to help support someone living off welfare, or government disability checks. My future sister-in-law gets free money every month, all she has to do is occasionally try to kill herself because her family doesn't give her any additional free money and it'll be obvious she's still mentally ill and needs free government money! Sometimes, you pay money to support folks who give absolutely nothing back to society.

That's bull s**t half of the higher class inherent that money very few make it to the top.
I don't know about half. But, most people that make it to the top at least start out with parents that have enough money to send them to college.

While I do agree with your statement to some extent, I think half might be a bit of an exaggeration.
Wealthy people paying a slightly larger percentage for taxes? Those poor souls!

I imagine they won't have trouble affording clothes for their children, though, even after they're raped of their tax money. confused
I was flipping through the channels last night and saw an interview with Joe.

He freely admitted he's not a plumber yet, because he's working on buying the company.

As he clearly stated when he asked Obama the question.
What would joe the plumber do? Why would joe the plumber do it? How would joe the plumber do it? When would joe the plumber do it? After awhile you just want him to shut up about joe the plumber.
