THEY earned the money. Why should they be forced to spend it on people who don't work as hard? That's the thought of capitalism. Even low-income people grumble about being taxed to help support someone living off welfare, or government disability checks. My future sister-in-law gets free money every month, all she has to do is occasionally try to kill herself because her family doesn't give her any additional free money and it'll be obvious she's still mentally ill and needs free government money! Sometimes, you pay money to support folks who give absolutely nothing back to society.

Something that should be acknowledged within Obama's plan:

Most people who have money can manage to get there taxes down pretty far is they have someone good filing them, and seeing as they have money, they probably do know someone who is damn good at filing taxes. if they didn't they probably wouldn't have that money in the first place.

The reality of the situation is someone has to pay and poor people can't afford it, and there will always be people who cheat the system.

Edit:
Regarding Small Businesses, Small buisnesses have many things written off, and after would make less than 250,000 therefore receiving money back in returns

Thanks for blaming those that cheat the system and doing the typical envy job of lumping everyone into that category, completely ignoring who really pays most of the taxes.

Excuse me? I'm not saying everyone cheats the system I'm just saying some will[Refering to wellfare, financial aid and this

. I'm not envious, my family falls into the 250,000 dollar tax bracket most years, and write offs are there for a reason, it's working with the system not cheating it. How is it cheating to write off real business expenses? Or if you really are donating to charity?

No matter what, This money has to come from somewhere, someone is going to have to pay higher taxes, and guess what? I don't mind doing it, also if your saying McCain's plan is better...

Quote:
Under both plans, all American taxpayers could pay a price for their tax cuts: a bigger deficit. The Tax Policy Center estimates that over 10 years, McCain's tax proposals could increase the national debt by as much as $4.5 trillion with interest, while Obama's could add as much as $3.3 trillion.

Both lose Money. Obama's just loses less.

I don't completely know what your saying here

edit:
If you mean that the middle class will pay the most I have no idea what your going on about, and I'm not even addressing that because it's completely false.

here are Mc Cain, and Obama's tax policies side by side.

I agree with him on the Taxing thing.
Why should people who work extremely hard to make a lot of money have to pay
a ton of taxes? It's unfair.

Everyone should pay an equal amount of taxes. My dad works EXTREMELY hard at his job. Why should he have to pay more taxes JUST because he works very hard?

According to Tom Sullivan on Fox news Talk, the average plumber business that has employees usually makes about $85,000 a year. So more than likely, unless the guy makes $250,000 a year he won't be taxed.
Yeah I couldn't vote in the pole cause "lame as hell" wasn't one of the choices =.=;; Hes just trying to win the middle class votes by pretending to be a "good ole boy" and frankly I find it offensive. Its like hes mocking those of us that are really struggling. No one intelligent, (this will probably cause a riot) would vote for McCain. Hes a joke. And Palin, I can't even begin to laugh at enough. If they're elected I think I'll move out of the US. Thats for sure. Dx

I work extremely hard at my job, too, and I earn roughly 600 a month. If I were to live on my own and got a tax I should pay, and it were equal to someone who earned 4000 or more a month, wouldn't me losing 100, for example, be a lot more stressful than for that person with 4000+?

Percentages are a lot better... seriously, I don't get why people would whine if they, god forbid, had to lose a thousand of their fifty thousand dollar income...

Because those of you that make more money than whatever it was, 95% of us that are struggling, can AFFORD to pay more taxes. We CAN'T! Why should those with more money that can afford to lose a little, pay less than those who can't keep giving money away, when they struggle to pay bills and keep food on the table. Obama's plan makes complete sense to me...
And plus its not punishing those who work hard, its simply that those people can afford to pay more, than those who can't even pay for their houses or groceries.
I was in class and FOCRED to watch in English class. I mean cause you know I'm paying for a decent education and even though English happens to be my second language it's not like it should be worked on. stare This is why our schools and colleges are failing.

I found the whole thing to be a waste of the people time. Most people who still have trouble decided STILL are undecided! I feel like this was 1950 whatever and I was watching Kennedy and Nixon debating. I mean seriously can we getting some fresh hippier canidates. Or do we really have to wait till Paris and one of the Jonas brother decides to run?

Seriously the whole things is like watch WWE for educated people. Same plot-lines, same promises, just different people in the ring ever four years or so...

Meet Joe the Plumber

Yeah, it got a little old, but it's true. Pulmbers make a lot of money, and he's planning on buying his buisness.

Here's the exchange that started all the fuss

That guy has a very valid point. It is pretty uncalled for that some suit in Washington wants to decide for you that you make too much money and should be penalized for it, when every one else that's "poorer" than you gets off scott free.

So it's better that the RICHEST part of the country pays almost nothing so they keep getting richer while the burden falls on the shoulders of the middle class? f**k that. The upper class can start putting in their fair share. They ARE RICHER so therefore THEY SHOULD BE TAXED more as it is relative to their wealth.

you know, other than the fact that the rich employ the rest of us so his tax plan would mean cutting jobs.

tax cuts for wealthy - more jobs created
tax hikes for wealthy - jobs lost

it's basic. (i know, not every wealthy person employs, and not every wealthy person who did get a cut would employ more people, but in a controlled environment, thats how it would look like)

But don't worry about that, because in Obama's plan, the government pays for everything *coughsocialismcough*

Isn't that the basis of the discredited trickle down economy system we've had for so long? I think we should turn the economy into a gang bang instead of letting the big companies rape so much that they do.

Actually, "Joe" wouldn't taxed for health care at all because he's a small business.

But Joe is an idiot.
People making millions of dollars should be paid just as much as those who can't even feed their families - even if those who can't feed their families are working one or two jobs?

A forum of mixed voters in Missouri were all turned off. The popular stance was against Joe. It was not an effective move
Never say people who are lower on the tax bracket don't work as hard. Sure some don't.

A single mother with a kid she's supporting by taking the bus 40 minutes every morning to get to her job, then going to another job late into the morning hours, and then coming home and maybe getting to put the kid to bed if she's lucky.

This might seem like that common "little heart-wrencher saw it on cable tv" story, but its a reality for a large amount of people today. Maybe she gets a tax cut for enough so she can get a job where she can see her kid for an hour a day or something. I personally know several people who go through life very similar to this.

And Joe the Plumber?

He got investigated and he actually has no plumbing license, which he got away with and probably is a good, honest plumber, but never bothered to get a license, and now might be fined some stupid amount of money. And apparently he has a tax debt or something. Overheard it on the radio.

Amazes me that people have that much spare time to do a background search on some random Joe, more specifically, Joe the Plumber.
I really don't get that much into politics
i think obamas won
I don't care what anyone says about Joe the Plumber. I'm tired of hearing about Joe the Plumber, Bill Ayeres, ACORN, and all the other mundane details about either candidate that don't really matter. Now I find myself in a bit of a pickle, being on the internet where people are free to say whatever the ******** they want. That and I should probably stop listening to Sean Hannity, but, damn it all, it's just so funny to hear hypocrites talk. I guess I'm just ********. Oh well.
Haven't you heard...
