It's really a shame to see so many people that don't understand it bashing us.

What makes us worse than other people? Nothing.

It's generally 5 types of people that bash us.

People whom believe we are *****.
People whom hold adulthood as the start-all/end-all of your life and -THE- big goal to reach
People whom believe we do nothing but mess/wet diapers.
People whom have seen corrupted media coverage (Jerry Springer, CSI, etc)
People whom believe that this makes incapable of other normalities.

It's usually a mixture of those things too, making for all sorts of different misinformed people.

This thread is on the path of collecting them all! : D
(Then we'll get the National MisinformedDex and have to go find 200 more.)

As long as you have a life outside the crib, there's no problem. Your sexual (for lack of a better term, as I'm aware infantilism isn't always sexual) life doesn't at all impact your personal/work/etc. life. Why should I care what you do to make yourself happy, as long as you aren't doing it around me?

Infantilism, as said lots of times before, isn't something that must be 24/7 forever. It's just a time-to-time thing, that we use to relax and cheer up.

So, in that sense, I see this as a highly harmful fetish, when applied to "mommies" or "daddies."

Much like *****, zoophilia, et cetera, it's more than a bit painful to ignore, but it kind of has to be, or a suitable "outlet" would have to be found, as carrying it out "to the letter" would be distinctly harmful.

I mean, yeah, it's not by any means something that makes you a terrible person by default. I just don't believe it's realistic to carry it out, as the great majority of people cannot read another well enough to tell if and when they are truly happy and okay with something, and a vast number see love as something you "sacrifice" for, and forget your own happiness in the happiness of the more demanding partner.

It's understandable, but if done right, the dominant party does regard the circumstances as contributing to their happiness.

I've been looking through the forums to see what the diapered folk have been putting over the forums. A few negative things, but I'm glad there's a positive one here.

I'm an infantilist, babyfur, and perhaps a few other labels. What does it mean to me? Secrecy, secrecy, secrecy. The world is seldom positive when it comes to people who like odd, or different things. For me, it means keeping my entire venture into infantilism a complete secret, as to prevent the public ridicule I might otherwise be entitled to.

Once the bottom step of Maslow's hierarchy has been satisfied, I can let out my inner-most self on the internet without any care, or even to the few folks that are close enough to keep a secret. For some reason, my infantilism primarily manifests itself in the form of extreme cuddliness. If someone can't accept diapers and stuff, they can usually handle hugs. If this even makes sense, I exercise marginal infantilism. XD
