Though I really hadn't heard much about this before there is a woman in my neighborhood who is at least in her mid twenties and maybe even thirties who acts like a teenager full time. Around age fourteen let's say. But she buys cigarettes and beer for her friends who are much younger than her and I think in her case this is a problem and more like a disorder than what i can understand of you from reading what you wrote. So, a few questions I have are;
Is this example I gave different than infantilism? Is this a constant part of your life? As in does it affect your personality other than when your on your own doing the things you described, pacifiers diapers ect? |

Although infantilism is a sector of ageplay, it is very specific and thus generally covers ages 7 and lower, so in this case no, I wouldn't say she was an example of such. As for your second question, although I believe I really should have two sides to me in this instance, yes, it does cross over. I'm immensely gentle and complex discomforts don't upset me in the slightest, though really simple things (like, for example, washing my bunny plushie without my permission) send me absolutely OFF THE RAILS. As a person, I can be very professional and meet the ever changing needs of day to day life, but it doesn't stop me retaining some of my more infantile traits which I will gladly show when I don't have to be mature or otherwise my late-teen self. I guess what I'm trying to say is: Yes, it does effect who I am outside of my infantile play but I do have it under control and I try my very best to not expose it to anyone who needn't be exposed to it. |

Yeah - it's different than infantilism, though I wouldn't be sure what exactly to call it, if anything. And for me, there's little way it could not be a part of my everyday life, really - of course, I don't go around in public doing babyish things or anything, but it's sort of an integral part of who I am...If that makes any sense. >.>; |
