I don't mean to sound like a d**k, but how do you discover that you're into this sort of thing anyway? Does it just happen like heterosexuality and homosexuality? Is it triggered by some item or event?

I should ask people of other sexualities these questions...

For me, I couldn't help but notice I always wanted to cling to people, roleplay a child and generally regress to have fun and relax. So in the long run I generally moved towards this life style.

I always found infantilism fascinating.
Especially since I still cling to some things from my childhood. (I don't think it necessarily fall under 'infantilism' but it made me feel better that I wasn't the only 19-year-old who still engaged in activities and things from when I was much younger.)
I personally think it would be awesome to have a 'mommy/daddy' figure....but most of my friends would look at me like I had three heads if I told them that, lol.

Being an infantilist, I understand a great deal about the workings of age play as Infantilism is just age play with a deeper meaning and edge, I guess. Focussing more on ages 0-7.

Hell no. They found out not long after they found I had an interest in girls also. I was dragged to a psychologist who was told that I was a *****. Yes, my own parents said this. Out loud. To another adult.

Even the 3 psych's that I was brought to said "No, she's clearly not a ***** and while this is a strange behavior and the fetish could have some social ramifications, it is NOT something dangerous by any stretch". Wasn't good enough for them, though. Got suicidal not long after that. Pretty miserable stretch of my lifecycle.

Ahhh...Memories...

I can sort of share with you there in your sentiments. I'd tried to kill myself 7 times in fear I would grow UP to be a *****. I know it's not exactly the same. But as a child, I won't deny that I was sexually aroused by thinking I WAS another child. It took me many years to finally realize it was not the child itself that aroused me, but the idea of what the child entailed, the diapers and what not, and my wish to be in their place. I could never hurt a real child, I;m just far too gentle and loving to do that.
