How could you do that? If you are not a child then why act like it? I mean that is so not right. We grow up for a reason, that is why we were made. Not to suck on pacifiers at age like 23 or whatever.
That's one of those fetishes that I'm majorly repelled by, since young children disgust me. It embarrasses me to even look at babies, and whenever the suggestion of anything infant-related is projected onto an older individual, that disgust immediately carries over. So, the practices of infantilists do gross me out. Majorly. But if anyone ever tried to stop you from carrying them out, I'd defend you. wink After all, I have a facial deformity fetish, so I've gotten my share of weird looks and flames.

Some people believe infantilism is wrong and incorrect.

Some people believe that infantilism is even somewhat peadophilic.

Some people believe that infantilism is just sad and stupid.

Being an infantilist myself, I would like to discuss with you all my reasons for which I enjoy it, I am willing to take on all criticism as long as it is constructive, and i'll TRY to answer all questions to the best of my ability. Now...I'll give you MY best definition of infantilism:

Infantilism is the act of having the mindset of a chiild or roleplaying out the act of a child at a much younger age. (Usually below nine...Anything past such is usually referred to as age play.)
Infantilism consists of different elements for each infantilist.
Now, I will try to address some of the items what make it special for an infantilist and why some infantilists may enjoy it.

Pacifiers: Many infantilists (Like myself) take great security and find safety in sucking a pacifier. For some it is because of an oral fixation, and for some it is just all part of being an infant.

Diapers/Nappies: Too many infantilists, they may remember the love put into the application of such items...The feelings, the love, and just the general idea of it. For some, the dirtying and wetting of a diaper is a major turn on, these come under two categories:
Coprophilia - A paraphilia in which sexual arousal is attained in connection with feces. (From the Greek copros, meaning "dung." wink
Urophilia - A paraphilia in which sexual arousal is associated with urine.
(Thank you to Mallow Nimbus for finding this information out for me.)

Clothing: Many infantilists find comfort and innocence in the clothing...For some its all just about the look.

TV Programs: Depending on the regressed age of the infantilist and maturity of the real person, this can vary, programs can vary, and as their are too many programs to mention, i'll not give examples...Though for many of us, the bright colours and odd elements of such programs are quite attractive and entertaining...Much like any of you watching a drama or a documentary.

Cribs, cots, strollers, toys ETC: For some, the fixation with toys is all part of the fun and can tie in with the TV programs. Strollers are a rare fixation as are cots/cribs. These are usually for those lucky enough to have found a 'mommy' or a 'daddy'.

To make it easier to understand, I have decided to define 'mommy' for you, this can easily be changed in the basis of a 'daddy'.

A mommy is a person who will 'take care' of the infantilist in a manner which is desired by both parties, this mommy is rarely a legit mother, but usually a sexual partner or a VERY close friend, in the rare cases of teens who have come out about it, it's possible to be a nanny, a legitimate mother or a surrogate mother...And in quite a few cases, a friends mother.

Now. What I'd like to ask is:

How do you view people like myself?

And before you judge my needs and likes. Here is some general information about me:

I am 16, own three of my own business', have an active social life, was never sexually or mentally abused and am what most would consider normal being a college student studying both BTEC computing and CISCO Networking.
My interests in infantilism are: Pacifiers, TV Programs, fuss, love and attention.
I DO NOT have issues, as proved by several psychologists and psychiatrists whom I have spoke to about this subject.
My involvement within this activity varies from about an 1-2hours a day and usually sticks to my own bedroom. It usually consists of me watching TV programs at about 6am to 7am and sucking a pacifier to get me off to sleep.
Out of the home, my activity sometimes extends out to giddiness and clingyness, I DO NOT have any interest in strollers or baby like toys. My infant age is '4'.
I have considered diapers and am still willing to try them, I don't know if I could bring myself to USE them, but the idea of the comfort of wearing one fascinates me and I know the only way i'll find out is by wearing one.

Now, I hearby claim this discussion thread to be open!

Topic of the thread: Is infantilism wrong and if so, why?

That made no sence what does it mean??????

I sugguest you read the rest of the forum thread, that way you may get a better understanding. If you still have questions after reading it over. I'll be more than glad to answer them for you..

Dear..dear.. I can't really become opinionated in this subject. Personally it does seem a bit odd but if it's what floats your boat go for it.

I admit and confess, it probably is rather odd.

But how I see it - It's just a few bit and pieces that make me feel good and an occasionally different mindset.
How can that be a bad thing?

God didn't make pacifiers, humans did, it's upto humans to decide how to use human made items.
Just to let you know, I'm also Christian.

Honestly? I think God would rather have me in innocence to the world than some person that is older and more obcessed with personal gain and where the money for the next addiction or fix will come from.

We grow up to become stronger and wiser. Nobody said we can't do things we enjoy as we get older.

Thank you! Now this is the sort of post I like to see.

Reasons WHY you think it's wrong.

Thank you for an insightful post.

Do you at all ever wonder what makes you repulse at the idea of small children? Did you have a childhood where perhaps things didn't go right or you were babied abit TOO long?
Hmm, sorry if that question was abit personal, but you're one of the few people to come in with a valid answer.

And a facial deformities fetish? Wow, that sure is something.

But I think it rather beautiful that you can find enjoyment in what most everyone else thinks is disgusting.

Personally? I have no problem with that sort of thing, and as you would for I, I'd stand by your side when the flames come out.

Thanks, man! It's beyond me why I just don't jibe with young children, because I actually babysit(mostly 2nd to 6th grade kids)! Still, I would never accept a job with infants, no matter how much it paid. It's one of those things, I guess. I mean, a baby has never spit up on me, and I've never had to change a diaper, so I have no reason to be squicked by them. *shrug* I'm prejudiced, I know, but I try to work around it. xd I do know the origin of my fetish, though- the Elephant Man. The film "The Elephant Man" has been among my favorites throughout my life- I saw it first when I was about ten, I think, and it completely enthralled me. Joseph Merrick (<== the Elephant Man's real name) must have been the most tragic and gorgeous man in history. It's like...I don't find it a challenge to love or relate to the disfigured, like many people in our society; it's a calling, you know? I've just been drawn to deformities since I can remember. With puberty came lust, of course. My first boyfriend had severe vitiligo, and I was completely nuts for him. biggrin

Can't say i've ever seen the film. But in your own way where you feel a calling to it...I guess it's kind of the same for me. I see my pacifier or my bottle and it calls to me, not literally, but the comfort I know I'll get from using either is quite something.
Alot of my friends have had disfigurements in one way or another, never really been fussed about it. Infantilists have the beauty of being able to accept absolutely everything...
I even have a friend whom is a necrophiliac, I don't like the idea of it...But he's stayed to the legal side of it...He got his girlfriend to sign a contract saying that after she dies, he's allowed to keep his body for a week so he can do as he wishes...Odd I know, but no one is the same.

And alas, I end my point on a comical cartoon to brace you all with knowledge.

You are pretty bold/upfront, but I'd have to agree. Usually I'm really open minded, but this seems really stupid and lame.

The things we use as a baby we no longer need as we grow older. I like the feeling of not shitting and pissing myself, so I use the toilet. I don't want to have crooked teeth in the longrun, so I stop using a pacifier. I need to be entertained, not taught, so I gave up Sesame Street.

You don't need to be taught? Heh.

I only need say one line.

"Man whom say he knows least, knows the most."

Everyone could learn something from childrens programs.
Ideals of peace, friendship and love.
Fun instead of pain, a smile instead of sadness.

And as a fact, not all infantilists 's**t and piss' themselves as you so put it.
Infact, not all infantilists even wear nappies/diapers.

Is there really something wrong in finding security in things like pacifiers and bottles?

And tell me, dear sir...If you were trully happy with the world arround you and had sweet innocence, would you really even need entertainment?
Also, I strongly agree that you are incorrectly naming a fetish... or giving a special name to one. But the last part of the definition talks about immaturity. I agree with that.
