DL Defined on Google - Nothing relevant.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=define:abdl&btnG=Search
ABDL defined - One result, completely relevant.

Google has very little when it comes to Infantilism, so you get less smut and more info.

Go Google. ^_^

Infantilism...hmmm...dont truly know if i am one but i wear diapers but dont use them...still i dont think thats enough to be classified as a infantilist.

That's known as 'DL' in the AB/DL community, you don't want all the fuss but you want the items. DL basically stands for Diaper Lover, and the term is easily mixed with AB and sometimes integrated with AB. (Adult Baby.) There are several Diaper Lovers who aren't infantilists.

If you wish to meet Diaper lovers, infantilists and adult babies.

Go to www.dpf.com, register and find the chat rooms.

Lol, I thought DL stood for "down low". Infantilism on the DL. xd

Haha! XD! Whatever made you think that?

*Goes to Google to do a 'Define' for DL*

I just skimmed over that article...And No...Infantilism has NOTHING to do with that, the article itself though was pretty interesting, thanks.

A tip to all, never put home made milkshake into a bottle, it gets stuck and you have to clean it all out and it makes the rubber teat stink if you leave it too long and let the milk soak in.

Anyways! Mothersday and all that good stuff is now over.

Everyone well?

Anyways. Back to subject.

If you are an infantilist, have you told your parents yet? And if so, how did they take it?
If you haven't...Do you ever plan to, and if so, how?

I sort of told my mom recently, but I don't think that she understood what I was telling her. It seems that she is thinking I'm fooling around. She doesn't take me seriously. I'm going to have to explain it to her in more detail somehow, although I've already got her promise that she won't take my paci away. I'm pretty much content right now, I don't have to really hide my paci, but when I use it I have to be hiding from her..She's paranoid that it's bad for your teeth. {If anyone could find out if that's true or not it would be greatly appreciated ^_^}

Anyways, thanks Danny for making this thread, if not for you then I would have never figured out what it was called. ^^

Yes, it is bad for your teeth, but only if you chew on it.

And you're more than welcome, I'm glad you've been able to find yourself darling.

So, I've bought two adult diapers on Ebay, must confess I'm rather excited by the idea of going to bed in one.

It's also my birthday soon, so whatever money I get, I'm going to have some pajamas custom made for me.
Baby blue fabric with golden stars sewn into it. ^_^

Okay, so I actually wore and wet one of the two diapers I bought...Must confess, it was a whole lot better than I imagined, it wasn't as hard to do as I first imagined it either...

It didn't feel bad and wasn't all that hard to do...
I didn't feel as dirty as I thought I would.

What do you feel about this?

Dirty? Odd? Natural?

You tell me, give me some discussion. ^_^

Some people believe infantilism is wrong and incorrect.

Some people believe that infantilism is even somewhat peadophilic.

Some people believe that infantilism is just sad and stupid.

Being an infantilist myself, I would like to discuss with you all my reasons for which I enjoy it, I am willing to take on all criticism as long as it is constructive, and i'll TRY to answer all questions to the best of my ability. Now...I'll give you MY best definition of infantilism:

Infantilism is the act of having the mindset of a chiild or roleplaying out the act of a child at a much younger age. (Usually below nine...Anything past such is usually referred to as age play.)
Infantilism consists of different elements for each infantilist.
Now, I will try to address some of the items what make it special for an infantilist and why some infantilists may enjoy it.

Pacifiers: Many infantilists (Like myself) take great security and find safety in sucking a pacifier. For some it is because of an oral fixation, and for some it is just all part of being an infant.

Diapers/Nappies: Too many infantilists, they may remember the love put into the application of such items...The feelings, the love, and just the general idea of it. For some, the dirtying and wetting of a diaper is a major turn on, these come under two categories:
Coprophilia - A paraphilia in which sexual arousal is attained in connection with feces. (From the Greek copros, meaning "dung." wink
Urophilia - A paraphilia in which sexual arousal is associated with urine.
(Thank you to Mallow Nimbus for finding this information out for me.)

Clothing: Many infantilists find comfort and innocence in the clothing...For some its all just about the look.

TV Programs: Depending on the regressed age of the infantilist and maturity of the real person, this can vary, programs can vary, and as their are too many programs to mention, i'll not give examples...Though for many of us, the bright colours and odd elements of such programs are quite attractive and entertaining...Much like any of you watching a drama or a documentary.

Cribs, cots, strollers, toys ETC: For some, the fixation with toys is all part of the fun and can tie in with the TV programs. Strollers are a rare fixation as are cots/cribs. These are usually for those lucky enough to have found a 'mommy' or a 'daddy'.

To make it easier to understand, I have decided to define 'mommy' for you, this can easily be changed in the basis of a 'daddy'.

A mommy is a person who will 'take care' of the infantilist in a manner which is desired by both parties, this mommy is rarely a legit mother, but usually a sexual partner or a VERY close friend, in the rare cases of teens who have come out about it, it's possible to be a nanny, a legitimate mother or a surrogate mother...And in quite a few cases, a friends mother.

Now. What I'd like to ask is:

How do you view people like myself?

And before you judge my needs and likes. Here is some general information about me:

I am 16, own three of my own business', have an active social life, was never sexually or mentally abused and am what most would consider normal being a college student studying both BTEC computing and CISCO Networking.
My interests in infantilism are: Pacifiers, TV Programs, fuss, love and attention.
I DO NOT have issues, as proved by several psychologists and psychiatrists whom I have spoke to about this subject.
My involvement within this activity varies from about an 1-2hours a day and usually sticks to my own bedroom. It usually consists of me watching TV programs at about 6am to 7am and sucking a pacifier to get me off to sleep.
Out of the home, my activity sometimes extends out to giddiness and clingyness, I DO NOT have any interest in strollers or baby like toys. My infant age is '4'.
I have considered diapers and am still willing to try them, I don't know if I could bring myself to USE them, but the idea of the comfort of wearing one fascinates me and I know the only way i'll find out is by wearing one.

Now, I hearby claim this discussion thread to be open!

Infantalists... like that fat guy from csi that ran off of a balcony in his diaper? EEEWWW... whatever, not my problem...
CSI has a slight problem with blowing the behaviors of people in certain subcultures COMPLETELY out of proportion. If they didn't, they wouldn't have as many viewers.

Yyyyahh...they really screwed up on the Furry one. The original script for it was worse.

Anyway, I find nothing wrong with Infatalism(sp?). It's your choice to do as you wish. Just as long as nobody gets *purposely(sp)* hurt, it's A-okay in my book ^_^

That is purely true.

Is there no level at which you believe infantilism may be incorrect?

Hehe, CSI is good only for the science aspects, never the storyline. Because the majority of storylines are blown far far far out of proportion.

I saw one on a guy whom had an eating disorder...They actually locked him into a chair with a leather strap so he couldn't eat...I was like...'...The hell?'. It made me wonder what sort of 'real' study the producers put into each episode.
I see nothing wrong with it. my opinion is that you can do whatever you like up until you harm someone else. if acting like a child makes you happy i say go for it.

Yeah, that's how I see it. ^_^

If it involved hurting someone...I would completely stray from it...No one deserves to be hurt or in pain.

But I know not everyone believes infantilism is 'Okay'.

How about everyone else out there?
