There is nothing wrong with it, what Im really wondering is, if you have some issues with your mother, because when people grow up, not feeling enough love from their mother, in a baby way, they tend to act upon baby things, and suck their thumb or a pacifier for comfort. It's a subconscience way to be a baby again and get to feel that fun and happy warmth that was stolen away from your youth by abusive parents, or by your parents rejecting you, or forcing you to grow up too fast.

Im not saying this is what is going on, Im just wondering if it is. I know not all people who are into this thing, have parental issues, it's just a fetish aswell. Im just curious about, because this sort of thing is rare these days, well in my life anyways. =3

It's only rare because so very few of us actually come straight out and admit it. But yea, It's possible, my parents never really did give me much attention, but I know it's not down to abuse, my parents were never like that, they always spoiled me with physical posessions, but in way of cuddles and the like? I guess I was lonely in that issue. But I know I don't have issues...It's only just come up recently, though the urges have been with me since I was about 10, nothing major happened when I was 10, so yea, I was just randomly getting jealous about kids on the street who were being fussed over, Maybe I felt left out? Who knows.

All I know is I'm happy now and nothing can take that away from me. ^_^

Im 19, and I have a daughter, lol yet I still suck my thumb in bed at night. I had horrible father issues, until I gave up on him. There's nothing wrong with needing that extra comfy, whether it be a thumb or a pacifier, as long as it makes you happy, and it does suck for us because when someone catches you they make fun. Thats why I stopped sucking my thumb in public when I was 12. But even today I cannot fall asleep without it in my mouth, and dont beleive that crap that you'll get buck teeth, because I dont have buck teeth, or any tooth problems.
