ok one of them is job 40:15-24 the behemoth is a dinosaur
Are you kidding me? Behemoth is a creature in and of itself. It is not and has never been a dinosaur. Where in all the science, archeology does it call the behemoth a dinosaur? Is the sphinx and the Gryphon dinosaurs as well? How about the wooly mammoth? You can't just pick some random creature listed in the bible and call it a dinosaur....
what is it then its a giant animal that is extinct now and had dinosaurish features i would count it as a dinosaur and the sphynx and gryphon never existed so of corse they arnt dinosaurs and i would count the wooly mammoth as a dinosaur
1) Are you trying to annoy me? You answer this post...but not the one above....>.< I take it you choose not to answer my post. Very well then, I accept your surrender to my argument...though...since you can't respond to it...it turns all your other points to mush and I no longer have any faith that you indeed know what you are talking about.
2) Dinosaurs are REPTILES....not Mammals...Wooly mammoths are mammals...enough said
3) Sphinx's are very real in Egyptian Culture/mythology, Gryphons...how do you know they don't exist. show me the physical proof of a behemoth.
4) Just because a creature was big...does not make it a dinosaur...there were several smaller dinosaurs as well.
5) Just because something goes extinct does not make it a dinosaur...using that logic...a dodo bird would indeed be a dinosaur...also...what exactly are dinsoarish features to you? Since they existed in all forms and varieties...I am unsure what you mean by that...
also waiting for a reply to this as well kitty. Please answer these two posts with your best arguments. I look forward to your answers.

ok..im a christian..but i have a open mind..to open some would believe..i have a question..why poke into someones belief system or there lack of..question the God you serve under..i don't question God because he doesn't talk to me directly and i choose the decisions that happen to me..like if the chair im sitting in just suddenly breaks..i could cuss out God like nobody's business..or i could just get another one..and do the whatnot that im attending to..stop trying the atheist and none believers with these no nonsense questions and question your own religion
There's one right answer and a bunch of wrong answers. God cannot be both good and not good. God cannot be both existent and nonexistent. Just because we can't all agree on these matters doesn't mean we should all adapt an "Everyone is right, mind your own business" outlook. If there was a debate in the scientific community over whether or not alligators exist, would you have them all keep to themselves and leave the nonbelievers alone? Of course not. But this is a belief system just like any religion. Why should it be any different with a God? Just like alligators, either God does exist or he doesn't - it's not a matter of opinion.
Its not that..I believe that you have a right to defend whatever you want..but to argue on a belief is ridiculous..you have a right to change your thoughts on belief..not fact..some people are on the side " i need proof"..some are on the side " I'm just tired of organized religion" etc..plus this isn't a multiple choice assessment..if I felt like converting to the Muslim religion i could..if I felt like being Buddhist i could etc..thats America
You do have a right to defend whatever you want, and you can argue on beliefs...you just will never come to any particular conclusion. who's to say who's right? the world may never know 3nodding Yes that was the tootsie pop commercial reference. mrgreen I love tootsie pops ^^
you can't just convert as you please...requirements must be met and followed. So you can't change religion like you change underwear it just doesn't happen. But yes, you can occasionally switch religions if your personal path leads you that way. You really don't have to be in America to do so either ^^. that idea is wayyyy overrated...>.< LOLz

Goodnight Gravity
Yes OP,
But ask yourself this.
If atheists and nonbelievers were to do as you say and pray/worship out of fear,
Wouldn't an omniscient god know that their piety was a falsehood?
I think a deity would want their followers to worship for more than fear.
Also, SheBangs Soup = PageStretcher! burning_eyes

This. Someone can follow God all they want simply because they don't want to "risk it", but unless they really believe it doesn't mean much.
And I don't know about you, but I only want people who sincerely believe following it. Following God for your own personal benefit isn't very cool, if you ask me.

Well, maybe it's easy to pray and getting up early to go church (Heck, no! I love getting up at 13:00!), but it's less stupid and painful live life as it was ending tomorrow 3nodding
God has ego issues if he has to make us feel fear of hell to worship him, really...

Actually, church doesn't always start super early. Mine has 3 services. I go to the 7PM one, mainly because I have problems sleeping before 5AM, and I'm a night person. Not that I'm trying to convince you to go to church, juss sayin'.
I also don't see how I'm not living my life as if it'll end tomorrow.
Just ignore the OP. I would never support anyone following God simply because they fear going to Hell. It's insincere. And not a good reason to follow anything.

But... I wanted to be the Devil's personal ho! D:
Just joking :]
But seriously~
There are a lot of ways to conflict what you said and to challenge your beliefs.
But I'm just going to pick one for now :]
Why would we want to worship a God that threatens us?
A God that says "If you don't worship me, you're damned to an eternity in hell"
What the hell? (Lawl, I love accidental puns >.< )
If you ask me, that's just messed up.

This
Also, what about free will? Is that a privilege of life on earth?
well i dont really know the thing about adam i dont know how god thinks but the free will thing yes its a privilage on earth but it is also free will to want to go to heaven like i dont mind giving up free will to go live with god for all eternity i dont think of it as giving up free will because it it my will to go up to heaven receive a new body and not have to worry about sinning ever again and i think most chistians would feel that way to
I'm sorry but I don't believe that way..I believe that when i get to heaven..I get to do whatever I want..heaven is paradise..its the final frontier..you cant go back to Earth..thats the punishment of the human race supposedly..why would you go back to Earth just to die again anyway
what part do you not agree with
well not WHATEVER you want you can go around doing evil in heaven but you do go back to earth when jesus comes back he pritty much brings the ppl from heaven with him and he will rein on earth for 1000 years
I don't agree with you kitty..when Jesus comes back you will be in heaven already..when he does come back..whenever that is he is supposed to seperate the damned from the wicked..which is why i don't believe he is coming back because that means that God punishes..which disagrees with your earlier statements of how God forgives everyone..heaven is paradise and we can do whatever we want..thats my argument and unfortunately for you I'm sticking with that
do you even your bible?

You don't have a good analogy. Alligators can be proven to exist. A better analogy would be if there was a debate in the scientific community over whether or not unicorns exist. Of course, the side saying that they do exist should provide proof that they do exist since this is contrary to what is currently accepted. (And if he was omnipotent, why couldn't he both exist and not exist?)

hmmm you ignored EVERY single question I asked...I would like my specific questions answered...each of them...please...
Also, if the Behemoth is supposedly the Brachiosaurus...why is it not called the Behemoth...and what about the multitudes of other dinosaurs that exist? Oh...and one last thing...why doesn't the bible mention the ice age...which is what supposedly killed off all the dinosaurs, and how did the humans exist if said ice age happened in their existence? Sure...a few may have survived...but it would have literally been a complete wipeout like the Great Flood.
Also, are you really going to bring the Leviathan into question when you deny the existence of Sphinxes, Seraphim, and Gryphons? Might as well say that a third of the population are actually vampires as well. Show me proof the "Leviathan" Exists and I'll let your argument be somewhat validated. But the Behemoth, Leviathan, Sphinx, etc are all mythical creatures that were imagined by man for the sake of not knowing the unknown. Need I mention the Great serpent that Christopher Columbus braved his ships against when he found the New World?

What if you died today (not believeing in god) and god sent you to hell , how would you react (keep in mind that hell is a place where maggots are treated better than humans) ???
This can't happen, because hell does not exist. That said, if I suspend my disbelief, I will answer you simply: all my friends will be there waiting for me. I would have no desire to go to heaven because it would be full of fundies. That's my idea of a horrible place, right there.

I know this is difficult for you to grasp, but hell is not a real place. It does not exist. God does not exist. There is no heaven. No divine punishment. No afterlife. Therefore, spending time (however little) on religion is a waste. You only live once: here and now. I'm not going to waste my precious free time on a fairy tale.
What most religious people don't seem to understand is that the idea of God is, to the atheist, as absurd as the idea of Santa Claus. It's not real, none of it is. It's not as if we say "I don't think that God is real, so I'll take my chances". We are sure that God is not real. To me, God, Zeus, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, unicorns and so on are all exactly the same thing. All equally absurd.

Some people think that hell is not a bad place to be but until you go there you will never know
No one will go there, because it's not real. When you die, you're gone forever. Nothing happens. You just rot and that's it.
Jesus rotted too. I assure you, he isn't coming back. And if he does, I'll be the first in (a very long) line of people, ready to punch him in the face.

Okay, if i did die today and DID go to hell, well, ********. From the looks of it, I'll be seeing a lot more people you know there than you ever will in heaven. And we'll all be like, "Well, s**t. I guess homosexuals ARE bad people after all." or maybe, "I knew I shouldn't have gone through puberty and had raging hormones and uncontrollable feelings about procreation! Why was he/she so hot?"

i dont think so if its there for a eternal punishment then i dont think god would let you get used to it
God forgives all. Says so in the Bible. You wouldn't go to hell in the first place--most likely. If it exists.
Plus, if it does exist, it isn't anything like you imagine it to be.
god forgives you if you want to beforgiven and you repent and want to stop sinning if you dont then you go to hell no probly not but the bible dose say wat its like to we can get a basic image
There is no hell.
i beleive that is wrong there is a hell because y would god make rules if there was no penalty for disobeying them
First off, there is a penalty: death. Sinners do not get the resurrection, or if they do it's only to be told "nah, you're not in The Book, goodbye forever."
Second off, what kind of d**k god makes a bunch of rules that he admits we'll fail at keeping, and then says "oh if you disobey like I know you will, you get ETERNAL TORTURE"?
kitty8594
because if there is no penalty for sin then all the ppl would disobey them he dsnt want that
You know that Forgiveness and Grace lets people disobey all they want as long as they repent before they die. So the only reason we don't have that as it is, is because we don't know when we're going to go.

What kind of god punishes those who disobey or simply don't believe in him? Not a god I'd ever want to believe in, that's for sure.
what kind of parent punishes a child for disobeying a loveing one if they didnt they wouldnt care same with god
If your child refuses to eat their green beans, do you
a) tell them "fine, but no dessert for you either"
b) whup them with a steel rod until your arm gets tired, and then lock them in a closet for the rest of the night?
Eternal torment in a lake of fire would seem more like (b) than like (a).
