So, yeah, where do Christians in general worship the cross in place of God, and where do Catholics worship saints in place of God?
First off, I'd just want to state that when I said that catholics pray to saints and whoever else, I hadn't meant it as a generalization, something that all Catholics do frequently. Alot of (but not all) regular practitioners do though. There are saints for pretty much everything nowadays so when an individual needs something in specific, they pray to the designated saint.
Here's a short list of patron saints.
...So, yeah. Where do they worship saints?
Mostly in the privacy of their homes, but there are also churches that have large paintings of the designated patron saint (along with Gd and Jesus things as well of course.)
I know that they're very common in Italy, and I believe Mexico as well. I'll try to find you some links for that.
So, yeah, you've yet to establish that this worshiping thing even happens.
Saint francis of Assissi
Here's a page on his life and whatnot.
Long story short, he's the patron saint of animals, the environment and of Italy and there's a prayer dedicated to him. If you wish to look it up, it's called the Devotion to Saint Francis d'Assissi.
