I did go to Sunday school and followed all those steps a good Catholic should. I even go to confession like once in a blue moon. Religion is part of my major actually. Classics and Religion, so I study religion along with Roman and Greek History. It kind of makes sense, though. Christianity was important in the Roman Empire. But yeah, I'm not worried about dying. I'm just interested in what kinds of theories there are out there as to what the afterlife is like. I find them fascinating.
Depending on how I find my Religion and Ethics classes to be like, I might actually take Religion as a Subject in University. Maybe get a Master Degree or something.
biggrin I also wish to study English, Greek, Japanese and Latin. Not to mention "Translation" which you're taught how to better translate English into Norwegian.
Hehe, in Rome resides the Pope. Kind of funny that I've been in the previous Pope's hometown.
I'm not worried about dying either. Except if I go to the stereotypical Heaven that you see on television with harps and angel choire.
Then I'll jump down from one of those goddamned clouds.
I find peoples theories of the afterlife interesting as well.
smile 'Specially Christians and the Hindu and Buddhish views.

couldn't image living forever. Once I'm done, I just want to be done. I don't want to continue living eternity in either place. I would just want it to be over. I'd probably go insane after awhile.
I know what you mean.. imagine living with your mother next door to you for the rest of eternity... Imagine seeing your friends and family's faces for the rest of eternity.
I'd be sick of them too after a while. I'd be sick of people in general after a while.
And most of all, I'd be sick of living..
There's acually a really interesting story in a book series I've read called "The Legnof the Ice People" about the topic of immorality.
Let me share with you.
There was a man, who really feared the aspect of dying. One day when he was on the mountain, it started to snow. He grew so cold, that he collapsed. All he could do was lie there and hope not to die.
Eventually he fainted.
When he woke up, the snow was gone and it was summer. A tad bit confused, he returned home to his wife and children, who was thrilled to see him again, since he had been gone for four months.
Years passed by, and eventually his wife died, and his children started to grow old. Eventually they died as well, and his grand children got children, and they got children.
Yet still he lived.
He got a new wife, but after she passed away too, he decided that the grief was too much to bear, so he didn't re-marry again.
Now he no longer feared death, quite the opposite.. He wished for it. He longed to see his deceased loved ones again.
After years had passed, and he was the only one who was left on this planet... someone came for him. They took found his wrinkled, almost in-human body, which couldn't even speak anymore for he was too dried up. They extracted the information they wanted from his brain, and asked him if he wanted to come with them.
He shook his head slightly, and they finally let him die.

The story certainly isn't word - to - word correct, since it's been a while since I read it.
