If I didn't believe in God, then there wouldn't be a Hell, therefore I couldn't burn in hell.

So long as you're correct.

If the 9 layers of Hell are true, then I will end up in the first layer for I am a good pagan, and that is where good people go when they do not believe in God. It is very much like earth, green grass, trees etc. So, if I die today, right now, and ended up in Hell, I would be content. ^_^

What if you died today (not believeing in god) and god sent you to hell , how would you react (keep in mind that hell is a place where maggots are treated better than humans) ???

and another question

Wouldnt it be easier to pray, read the bible, and go to church (which doesnt take
that much time) , rather than spend an eternity in hell ???

Some people think that hell is not a bad place to be but until you go there you will never know

if I died Not beleiving in god I would be burried my family would say some stuff about me and the nthat would be that... that might visit my grave and I would still be there but I would be Dead... why dont we just line all of you lunatics up against the Great wall of china and Shoot you all? YOU could spend eternity in heven and WE could spend our time on earth in peace WITHOUT ALL YOUR BS

You tell me. Here is a list of deities Christians and Athiests do not believe in. Would it be REALLY easier to follow all these dogmatic belief systems in hope that one of those is correct?

You, sir, win.

I prefer to be a good person because I like being a good person, not because I fear I'll be punished otherwise. Doing good deeds just to go to heaven to me is not a selfless act, it's enlightened self interest, or it's just selfish.

i have a question;
if i don't fit under any denomination, but still believe in god.
am i still going to hell?

that's not a serious question.
i think this topic is ridiculous.
if i get sent to hell,
or whatever, i do.
plus, isn't god supposed to 'clear' you of all sins, no matter when you recognize them?

eh. whatever.
i'll just go with rotting in the ground and having maggots scurry through my head.

kudos!
i'm feel the same way.
i'm a good person.
when i make mistakes, i repent to the person i hurt- not god.

I'd rather spend an eternity in hell than worship a god that doesn't accept that being a good person is enough. If god is as loving as everyone says then there's no reason why he wouldn't think the way a led my life was acceptable without worshiping him every step of the way.

lol I'm so screwed if that's the case, my friend.

I'd end up on ither the fifth, as one of the wrathful, the sixth as a heretic, the seventh for my violence (love that violence), the wood of the suicides (on lvl7) for blasphemy, or the eighth for being a deciever and (sometimes) a hypocrite. 3nodding

Why that sounds like Voltaire's gamble in a nutshell.

I would probably be like "Son of a b***h!" before finding out I have to wait in DMV-type lines for hours just to filld out the damned paperwork (for great puns).

To each his (or her) own, I say. 3nodding

I just figure it would be more disrespectful to pretend to pray and worship than to say, "This isn't for me" and move on.

There are so many different religion and gods out there, I doubt it's impossible that any single one is exactly right. It's not like we can attend every religious service "just to be sure and it's easier."
Also, I think that if there is a heaven and hell, getting in isn't going to matter on if you're christian. If you've lived a good, honest life and helped people, then you will go to heaven.

well, I'm an atheist(which is not believing in religion) and i still believe that there's something out there whether it's some old dude or some fat guy who's belly u rub at the chinese buffet. I believe that the "that" that created everything is all, and one. I cant believe in religion since there's alot of hypocrisy there, control with fear(sound familiar American media*cough* FOX*cough*) and some are just demean women in their bibles.(And the thing with Lot...I mean-Save the angels but not ur flesh and blood, really now, really Lot?) I prefer to believe in whatever-is-there-if-there-is in my own way.
and if ur going to church JUST to save urself well that gives a bad name to the ideals of Christianity.(as unrealistic as they r. u cant blame Jeebus for tryin) And i'm not getting up an 7:00 am, every week for the rest of my life. Not gonna happen, salvation or not.

My lack of belief in any supernatural being is not out of pragmatic reasoning, if that's what you're wondering.

Our belief in something says nothing about its existence. Yes, it would be wonderful if a magical sky-daddy took care of us and provided us with a place of eternal joy and bliss after we shed our mortal coil. But pray as we might, our wishes and beliefs do not reflect upon the blueprints of the universe.

But presupposing the whole Judeo-Christian mythos, if I ended up in hell for something so trivial as a lack of gullibility, I would probably be very angry at such a being for being so irrational and egotistical as to base eternal damnation on the wishes of mortals and not on their deeds.
