First off, how do I know I'll be spending an eternity in hell? For all I know I could be getting a stripper factory and beer volcano when I die. Or I could just die and, well, be dead =/

Second, why should I? I don't believe in Christianity, hell, I have good reason to doubt Jesus' existence, let alone his being the son of some attention-whoring god that may or may not exist. Furthermore, do you really think your god would like it if I became nominally Christian simply for the purpose of living in the new Jerusalem rather than being tossed into a lake of fire? Something tells me he'd just chuck me in the lake anyway =/

i personally dont believe in the heaven or hell thing. theres more to it than that.
and i also dont believe church is important if you can keep things up yourself.

There is a possiblity that I could die at any moment, so I know what I'm doing. My beliefs are mine, and I have that freedom to live with them. If I chose not to believe in your silly book, and your mighty God, then I wont.
If I want to believe that Big Bird is God, and I should watch sesame street everyday, I can.
If this book, and Jesus, and all that jazz is true, then damn, I'm going to hell. But when I die, I atleast know that I have lived my life how I wanted to, and I don't regret any of it.
And anyway, what about you? What if your God isn't real?

If I didn't believe in God, then there wouldn't be a Hell, therefore I couldn't burn in hell.

And no it would not be easier to do all those things listed. Praying would take up time that I could be spending eating, or sleeping (or whenever else I'd be praying), reading the Bible in itself would take up a great deal of time considering it has tiny writing, and old English dialogue, and going to church would mean I'd have to first find one, which includes driving around for the right one, but once I do find one, depending on how far it is, I'd be spending a lot of time driving, and then spend from about 30 to a hour there....in all I've wasted a good portion of my life. burning_eyes

In the end I believe in karma and reincarnation, and something of a higher being.
