I would not call racism against whites "reverse racism" racism is racism just because racism is more commonly coming from whites it isn't necisarily reverse.bracken is racism not matter who it is directed towards or coming from. But this is just my opinion. Oh and whites can be subject to racism. No one is exempt from it. cry

the real question is, does the dictionary define words or not? and why?

i always refer to the dictionary to define words.

"Nkosi Thandiwe, 23, admitted to killing Brittany Watts and stealing her car.

When one of the prosecutors asked Thandiwe why he picked Watts, he said he didn't know."

"All of Thandiwe's victims are white. He said during his last few years in college, his history studies changed his thoughts about how some white people treated black people.

"In terms of slavery and race, it was something that needed to be answered for. I saw it as something that the black community hasn't recovered from so my initial way to handle that was to spread information to help combat some of the ignorance that was in the black community about our history," said Thandiwe."

So basically we are all to buy into Pat Bidol and Judy Katz definition rather then the one that the rest of the English Speaking world understands.

Why exactly? O' right, so leftists can say racist things but conveniently declare it not racist maybe?
Yeah, sort of like how we should use the popular definition of "theory." We shouldn't let scientists dictate what the word means, but rather every Tom, d**k, and Jane.

Jargon is jargon for a reason. If the common people don't like that, it's too ******** bad. Get educated or don't complain.

We have the dictionary don't we?

Also the racism formula is not some authoritative academic jargon, it is literally the conjecture of a handful of social justice activists and a few professors scattered across the country.

Why should Pat Bidol, Judy Katz, and Tim Wise preferred definition be the one we consider "educated?"
The lay dictionary does not trump specific fields' jargon. Ever.

No, it is sociological standard. If you don't like it, tough ******** nuts.

yeah it does. specific fields' jargon is for when you are discussing something in the specific field. sociological standard means standard for sociology but not for everything else.

that or both definitions are added to the dictionary.

secondly, what is even the point of changing the definition of racism anyway? you could just call it systematic racism and be good. it seems like you want to trivialize any bad a black person does and any hardships a white person comes across. it's already becoming a dangerous problem when someone uses this line of thinking to kill innocent white people because they were white. seriously. this social justice movement has and will continue to take very dangerous turns. and people like you contribute to it. hopefully it will die down in a couple years and people will start to make actual progressive changes instead of literally killing people for their skin color.

this is what happens when you tell people over and over that racism against whites is impossible. listen, there are better ways to fix society. you don't have to kill innocent people. you don't have to be like white people were historically. what white people did back then was terrible. but 2 wrongs don't make a right either. let's all find bigger and better solutions that will bring about real peace. heart heart heart

You mean they take the stand and say something that sounds suspiciously like they would like to get off for some kind of temporary insanity?

Define 'reverse racism'. That implies that racism has been a exclusively 'white' trait until as of late.

Racism is racism, and people of all races are equally capable of being racist.

There is no excuse that warrants racism , and just because some person's ancestors treated your ancestors poorly does not make them responsible for that misdeed or give you the right to treat them poorly because of that.

Racism against any race is wrong.

And it is not impossible for racism against whites to exist, that is just a lie used by non-white racists (Such people actually exist surprised , that must come as a shock to some of you gonk ).

Its not that people don't think anyone can be racist against white people. Its that white people complaining about racism is like someone complaining about a paper cut to someone whos missing a limb. Its not like our culture subconsciously hates you. Hell, people cry about being forced to feel guilty if a non white person tries to start a thread about the racism they face. Then they turn around and cry about being oppressed when a discussion like this is started.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you believe whites face racism? Not just encountering people who are prejudiced and make stereotypical remarks about whites, but racism.

If a minority person hates a white and puts things into society that block that white, it's not called "reverse racism" it's called Racism.

Reverse Racism is just a term to make people believe that only whites are racist. It's pretty dumb.
People of any race can be prejudiced or racist.

Questionable Lover

Reverse racism itself is a racist term.

You big, dumb, mouth-breathing, inconsiderate, knuckle gump.

It implies the opposite of racism is being prejudice against white people.

AND that white people are the only ones capable of being racist- which you will find is a laughable thing to say if you so much as GO ANYWHERE WERE THERE ISN'T WHITE PEOPLE.

That you exclude prejudice and discrimination from your definition of "racism" against whites creates a sort of catch-22. Whites cannot be the victim of racism when "racism" has no definition and its usual meaning has been specifically removed.

Your agenda is too obvious. Roll again!

So you would erase the experiences of white people who have faced discrimination because it's not on a large scale (within the US)? There's room enough for all of our problems. You don't have to get all, "racial minorities have it worse so only talk about them!"

That's not productive. That's not accurate. That's petty.

Right, because I said reduced sentence. Because that's the only possibility from an attempt to appear insane.
