Indeed, what even is the nature of this Happiness of which man strives for his entire life?

Shameless Mystic

You don't try. It just happens. Trying for it just causes frustration.
Step 1: stop living for the opinion of others.
step 2: accept yourself for who you are.
step 3: watch My Little Pony: FiM

The Greek philosopher Epicurus had much to say on this subject, and if you have a spare 1/2 hour watch these videos that explain his philosophy in depth.

It usually comes in twelve packs.
According to Epictetus, happiness can be obtained when we train our associations to see the positives of every situations, train our brain to desire reasonable and tangible goals and possessions, and that we should only change that which is possible to change (personality, thoughts, emotions, etc.) and to stop trying (and failing - thus causing unhappiness) to change that which is unchangeable like external traits and the minds and emotions of those around you. (Wikipedia)
For me? A solitary mountaintop, three hits of blotter acid, and a couple bowls of cannabis. Though that's simplifying it a little...
Depends on one's paradigm.

In the case for Luciferianism it would be to:

Know Thyself
Through Self-Gnosis self achievement
Through Both Fulfillment
Through life fulfillment, happiness

Good to know someone mentioned Epictetus.

Just to help you understand something a little easier, "Happiness" is not defined by what it is, but more so, what satisfies the soul most.

Hedonism.

as a confirmed hedonist, I can attest that hedonism is less actively seeking happiness, and more a method of escaping that which keeps us from happiness. the difference is subtle, but it's there.
