Loki's makeover of what flowergirl01 wrote All righty people. Christians, Jews, Muslims, and almost all other religions are exactly the same thing put into different words. I'll say this: Even Satanism is the same as Christianity. It's true. I was a Satanist for a bit and realized that it's all the same. Next: gays. It's their choice to do what they want. Next: hell. Who can say what hell is? It's different in all the religions, yet it's still the same. I don't see how any faith which says there was a creator who loves his children but condems them to hell would be correct. If the creator made the children the way they are, why would they be punished for what they do if he obviously is the one making them do that? I can understand Buddhism, but I think that it is a little to rediculous in its belief of harming living things. The only thing that all religions have in common, though it really pisses me off, is they all have people who walk up to people like me, who don't really care, and say, "Join our faith or you'll die and go to hell." I don't care. I don't believe what you say and you are not going to change me. That's the only problem with any thing is trying to get people to come to they're side. Okay. Now to business. flowergirl01 All righty people. Christians, Jews, Muslims, and almost all other religions are exactly the same thing put into different words. Incorrect. Entirely so. I'll give you a nice quote as an example. MyxineDamion Sammy_chan I myself believe in all forms of religion that they are all part of one big story and over time each culture has taken the parts they liked and disposed of the parts they didn't like and grew their new religion off of that. This is merely a theory of mine. Any feed back on it is, of course, welcome. How do you match up, say, Scientology with, say, Hinduism? Or Christianity with Shinto? Which took which parts and threw out the others? What the hell would the original story look like? "The ancient alien overlord with multiple limb who's the son of God born to a virgin with an elephant head sent oil-drinking lantern ghosts to warn his hermaphrodite prophet (who's also a crucified coyote with an oversized p***s and high on shrooms) in the Arabian desert (and also in Canaan) that he must kill all the newborns in Bethlehem to impeach the Armaggedon planned by a triune Goddess and her horny husband so they can make a supervolcano explode and steal the souls of all the humans of the iron age..." flowergirl01 I'll say this: Even Satanism is the same as Christianity. It's true. I was a Satanist for a bit and realized that it's all the same. Where's Pirate when I need her? confused flowergirl01 Next: gays. It's their choice to do what they want. Note: It's not their choice to be homosexual, however. Also note: That statement has nothing to do with this topic. flowergirl01 Next: hell. Who can say what hell is? The Judeo-Christian community? The Christians, at least, have put a claim on this word. flowergirl01 It's different in all the religions, yet it's still the same. ...Do I need to point out how oxymoronic this is? flowergirl01 I don't see how any faith which says there was a creator who loves his children but condems them to hell would be correct. If the creator made the children the way they are, why would they be punished for what they do if he obviously is the one making them do that? In Christianity, God does not make His children do anything. They choose to sin. And can there be anything such as paradise if there is not an exact opposite? God loves His children, but not all love Him. flowergirl01 I can understand Buddhism, but I think that it is a little to ridiculous in its belief of harming living things. They don't think it's too ridiculous. Why should you? flowergirl01 The only thing that all religions have in common, though it really pisses me off, is they all have people who walk up to people like me, who don't really care, and say, "Join our faith or you'll die and go to hell." I don't care. I don't believe what you say and you are not going to change me. That's the only problem with any thing is trying to get people to come to they're side. Not all religions do that. Not all sects of Christianity do that. Not all religions even have a hell. Please try to work within the Biblical realms within this thread. |
