Can a wiccan or Satanist demand time to pray?

can we wear things that praise Jesus? that show our religion?

Unless you have a "no jewlery" policy at your school, Yes?

And if you're talking about shirts, Wearing something that says "Jesus loves you" IS pushing your religion on them because it's telling them theres a guy named Jesus whom they do not believe in and he loves them which they do not agree with. It's like them wearing a shirt that says "Muhammad is the way" when you do not believe it. It miffs people.

Hajib
Plus a hajib is no more then wearing a shawl over your head, while some may complain it's like a hat for them it's like bitching a girl refuses to wear a tank top. It's not strictly their religion that demands it, it's their modesty. Asking them to take it off is like asking someone to take their shirt off. Religion aside if someone feels their hair is a privet part of them then it is sexual assault to ask they show it. Plus they can justify and demand no classtime to wear it.
If you want to pray in class no one can stop you if you keep it to yourslef
Besides Jesus calls you a hipocrit for praying in public
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Eh, it's not hard to be an expert. You just have to read the damn thing. I see lots of people who call themselves Christian yet don't seem to have read Matthew 7.

ok. Where does the Bible exactly "contradicts" itself? I know that some things in the Bible arent clear and make you think?

*Snip. List of 101 contridictions here*

You can use Bible Difficulties to help you try and find many of the answers to the list you have provided should you wish to agree with the interpretations they give.

And what of Matthew 7, hm? Matthew 7:1-5? Are you talking about Jesus and people judging others? If this is the case, I'd like to see your interpretation. And once you have done so, if it is the same old interpretation I've seen others use, I'll gladly knock it down by proper exegesis.

Lol, that was hilarious. Mature huh? All I said was God allowed them to eat animals as they learned to cook and kill the diseases inside the animals. Does that need back up, or common sense?

No. You said, and I quote...

Alright, you look for little mistakes and make a large deal out of it. First off, PLEASE DON'T READ THE CATHOLIC BIBLE! It's antichrist. Demons trick you that way! Read the Jehovah's Witnesses' Bible.

P.S. I looked in those scriptures, you changed some of the words, let me research it for myself.

You accused me of altering God's Word in favor of the Jehova's Witness Bible.

I said, provide verses.

And you start acting like an idiot.

Hm...
Yes that's mature, call me an idiot. Usually people insult when they know they are wrong. Who is the idiot? YOu can't look at the watchtower online? I provided it. Why don't you do a few clicks and you MIGHT find it. I don't know though, you might not be able to do it. A few click away on google must be so difficult.

I said you were acting like an idiot. If you have to be an idiot to do so, then you're an idiot.

And as I've said before, I don't like people making claims that I'm incorrect and then making me look it up. You have sources? Post them. You have something you disagree with? Say it. All I've heard from you is that Catholic Bibles are the tools of Satan, JW Bibles are the greatest Bible out there, I alter God's Word, and that you agree with me about Peter's dream in Acts.

I have yet to see you lay out proof that I've altered God's Word. And this is the ED, you post your evidence. You don't make someone else look it up for you.

And, as a side note, I've been to the Watchtower website. Not impressed. Nor have I found anything that says I'm wrong, dispite how often people have tried to quote from it.

Misconception: There were 3 magi present at Jesus’ birth.

Response: Again, this is incorrect. There were zero magi present at the birth of Christ. Christ was born in a manger, and the Bible states that, when the magi appeared, Jesus was living in a house. Historians again like to place him at approximately six years of age. The other problem with this statement is that no one knows how many magi there were. The only thing we know is that there was more than one. People tend to assume there were three due to the three gifts given.

I have always thought Jesus to be two at most at the time. It was afterwards that Herod ordered the killing of all children two and under, meaning he needed to be no more than two at the time the magi came.

Otherwise I agree with most of what you say.

As I recall, Herod's massacre is questionable - indeed, it may not have taken place at all. There are some historical problems, not the least of which is a complete lack of corroboration.

In short, he could have been any age. Two is fine too.

Please provide evidence that there will be a 'judgement'.

Quote:
and you all will go to hell. Hell u hear me?

Please provide evidence that there is a hell. (you'll have to prove the mind is capable of surviving death first, by the way.)

Quote:
You will burn and be in pain for eternity. How ever long that means to you.

Please provide evidence that the mind is capable of existing beyond the death of the brain, and that it is capable of experiencing the sensation of pain after this death.

Quote:
But as for me jeasus is awesome

Please provide evidence of the existance of Jesus.

Quote:
he died for me and you but you still dont love him. ha ha.

Please provide evidence that such a thing as sin exists and that Jesus made a substitutionary atonement for them. (You'll need to provide proof of his existance first.)

Quote:
I will walk on streets of gold and you will be walking the plank.

Please provide evidence that there is such a place as Heaven, that 'souls' go to this place (please prove the mind is capable of surviving death first)

Quote:
Fess up for you wrongs like homosexuality and underage sex.And repent for wrong doing.

Please provide evidence or logical reasoning as to why these things are wrong.
John Calvin
PoeticVengeance
How does that invalidate the Good News?

Simple. If there is no eternal damnation, then there is no need to preach the Good News since all will be saved eventually. It also encourages living immorally. If I am going to be saved, regardless of whether or not I believe, I may as well go on sinning.

Which obviously means you care nothing for God's Plan in and of itself.

I assert that avoiding sin to avoid punishment cheapens your avoidance of sin and cheapens your commitment to God's Plan. How can one call oneself a Christian, when you aren't really following Christ, just running away from "Hell"? (This is not directed at you personally, its more of a general question)

I also direct you to Romans 5 and 6

Quote:

PoeticVengeance
God's Plan is not here to punish the wicked.

I disagree. Proverbs 16:4 says, "YHVH works out everything for his own ends - even the wicked for a day of disaster."

That doesn't make any claim on God's Plan having the express purpose to punish the wicked, in fact, it doesn't even make it a sub-purpose.

That verse appears to merely state that bad things happen to the wicked within God's plan, and in fact, that bad things happening to the wicked not the goal but part of the things that lead to the goal.

Note that it never says the day of disaster is the "ends" that YHWH is working towards.

This verse could give one an impression, if one did not read it closely, but its clearly not stating that God's ends == punishment

Quote:

Paul says, "What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath - prepared for destruction?" (Rom. 9:22).

Also does not support your point. Nowhere does that verse lead on to believe that the goals and ends of God's plan is punishment.

Punishment is certainly scattered throughout the plan. One could certainly see the purification as punishment, as it tends to be worse the more impure you are (logically). And bad things will happen during the course of the Plan as part of God's eventual goal, many times to bad people.

But how does an explaination of God's patience and preparation with destruction mean his plan is about destruction?

He is patient and prepared for everything. Even making oceans was likely something he was patient about and prepared for before doing so. Is his plan about making oceans?

I see this verse as not aiding you.

Quote:

Jude says, "For certain men who were marked out for condemnation about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord" (Jude 4).

All this establishes is that there are men who are bad and secret among the holy. They use their faith to justify their evil and deny Christ.

How does this even say anything about the Plan of God? This doesn't even speak of its workings.

O_o

I'm going to disregard this verse from Jude entirely.

Quote:

PoeticVengeance
God's Plan has its own ultimate purpose and you should follow it simply because its God's Plan, not because you'll get smacked around after you die for eternity.

Right. It's God's "plan." You should simply follow it, because it's God's "plan." This sounds as about absurd as saying, "It's about faith. There is no proof."

You've invoked quite a fallacy there.

False Conclusion is the best name for it. (You've also made a little Appeal to Ridicule, in attempting to prove me wrong entirely by comparing my assertion to something you feel will make it look stupid)

False Conclusion, for those not in the know, means the entire basis of your argument is flawed, which in turn breaks your conclusion open like a melon.

The words, "It's about faith. There is no proof." is actually a true statement for the most part.

Depending entirely on your definition of proof (some do allow for literary evidence) and even those definitions accept quite well that faith is required to believe literary evidence that is not cross referenced by anything other then itself.

As Elfy has said in the past about this fallacy:

" I might as well say "the theory of evolution? That's as stupid as the law of gravity!" .... Except the law of gravity is not stupid."

Quote:

PoeticVengeance
The Good News helps us understand and follow God's plan, and is so very necessary with or without eternal damnation.

Provide a reason why it's "so very necessary with or without eternal damnation."

Because without the Good News, we can't understand God's Plan and follow it as effectively. We're allegedly quite important to the Plan and being that God is a stickler for efficiency (He is perfect after all), giving us the understanding we need to follow our role in the plan is a very good call.

The efficiency of the Plan is part of its perfection and the proper working of the plan (apparently delicate enough to even be hurt by evil thoughts) is paramount to whatever God's eventual ends might be.

The Good News gives us enough knowledge to work within it for its benefit but does not give us such a good knowledge of it, that we can damage its workings moreso then we could ignorantly.

Quote:

PoeticVengeance
It would even be necessary if annihilationism was fully and totally true.

God's Plan by itself is the end for which all means should lead.

I hear sentiment.

I hear absolutely no reason to believe that eternal damnation exists, or that punishment is the ends of God's Plan or even a sub-purpose in the plan.

I'm only telling it as the Bible teaches it, based on my knowledge of Christianity. Don't like it? Prove me wrong, instead of slinging circumstantial ad homs.
