I do not believe that there is any point that exists that has not been properly presented in your first post. Nice job. I also believe that every one of the opposing arguments that you stated in the first post (against homosexuality) have been completely disregarded because of your points.

Some things that i would like to add...

Claiming that living in a homosexual environment will screw up the children, is already a waste of speech because the entire point of this thread is trying to prove what is so wrong with homosexuality...there is nothing wrong, therefore a child cannot be screwed up because there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. The only reason these children may be "screwed" up is because of the children with straight kids who choose to make the childs life a living hell, like you stated earlier.

The religious argument you make is also very valid. A persons sexual preferences are no ones business but their own, there is nothing wrong with it...however the "bible" says its wrong. Some book written by some people thousands of years ago claim that its wrong because of what their "God" says. So automatically, it HAS to be wrong...oh no.. The bible says its wrong...the bible also says the world was created in six days. The bible also says the sun revolves around the earth....however we show no credibility to these false statements. The bible is not a valid argument against homosexuality, because not everyone believes in the bullshit the bible says.

for the not procreating point, i must hand it to you, you really shut those assholes up. Just because people cannot procreate, they shouldnt get married? What kind of bullshit is this? I swear that some people with STDs choose not to procreate because it will make their child suffer, and i also believe that paralyzed people can still get married, even though they cannot procreate through sex. So, Christopher Reed couldnt procreate, cuz he couldnt...er, he couldnt exactly impregnate someone. Does that mean that infertile women or men do not have the right to get married? Stupid idiots...

OK , in effect i am only replying to bump and support the thread .
although..back to the gay pride issue . Many people treat it as a time of the year to have a protest march/ rally. In my state we have a whole pride month. including art and movie festivals that offer exposure for works that mayhave missed the chance to be shown by mainstream festivals. a family fair day where community / business/ social and health organisations can meet and greet gay and str8 people . A rally/ march where community groups can get across messages to the whole state about there concerns . Off course the whole month wraps up with a dance party smile
media tends to focus on the more outragous parts of pride parades . If other parades are anything like ours , there are actually a lot of groups trying to get a point across. We are not "promoting" our sexuality or trying to recruit (OK , so maybe the lesbian avengers could rethink some T-shirt slogans...) . Other groups that are more social based may be marching to increase visibility . Yes , that is right , to simply say , "look at me ! I am Out". But they do it to help those that are not "out" or still questioning to feel more comfotable within themselves. (Proud even).
Perhaps some march simply to increase the numbers marching and to remind the people of the power of the pink vote and pink dollar.
Yes , i know there is no "straight pride day" , but i gues str8 pride happens at Thanksgiving , Christmas , many weddings , funerals , christenings and various other festivals thoughout the year .
Pride days are any day you can feel comfotable to hold your lovers hand and meet the eyes of another couple , knowing how great it is to be in love , just like they are.

its probly been a part of every sexualy reproducing species for as long as we've been here, alot of people point out homosexuals can't reproduce and stop there, well when you do that you are going into the roles when can play in the survival of our species, and there are MANY other roles then that of the breeder. Of you have ever read Dan Savage's The Kid, a book which describes a gay couple adopting a child from a first person point of view, you realize that because it is harder for gay couples to get a child they tend to care for it more than biological parents who might not even want the child.

This thread really did raise some valid points, and I'm glad you wrote it. I myself am very good friends with some homosexual people, which I think also makes me feel all the more sickened when people try to bash homosexuality without giving the time of day to actually check out the facts and figure out what it is. Juen: Thanks for pulling up that Satire, it help show the common arguments that people use. Somewhere in there it mentions how gays brought along the AID's epidemic. I think I'll do a little seperate post on the truth about. I had one of my friends cover it, but she didn't get how it started.

Reff & Ashric: To tell you the truth, I have no idea how it got started... I know it has been around long before Christianity and is found in other animals. But how it got started... I really don't know. Maybe to go off what Ashric said, it might just be to keep the population in check.

Velderia: Do you maybe support it a little bit more now than you did? It's okay if some state support it... but wouldn't you think that all the homosexual couples would then flock to those states and push some of the straights out? It's not nessicarly a bad thing... more of, if you printed a picture of the US with where straights, gays, lesbians, and bi's live. Wouldn't a good amount of gays and lesbians, and some bi's be in those states that allow gay marriage? It hasn't really happened yet, but as more young people start graduating they may try to find jobs in Mass. instead of other places. It would look like some 1887 map of the dispersial of immigrants.
