I find that no homo meme so mind numbingly lame. I'll be at a club or party, and a guy will tap me on the shoulder and say "dude, no homo, but I love your outfit". As if guys can't give compliments to other guys? American culture is so odd.

Nahh, it's fairly clear it's going to be forced to be put to a popular vote in November, there's always going to be resistance to this sort of thing. As a gay guy in Washington myself, I can say I... well, you know what, I honestly don't actually care that much about whether I can get married, but it's certainly a step up. I mean, I've never been treated like a second-class citizen because of my orientation before, like pretty much ever, or if I have I didn't really notice/care/etc, but that's because I guess I was born in the right time and place. So... Congratulations to me for being an exception to the homophobic rule which has dominated the social landscape?

Oh gay marriage was legal...that's what gets me.
