We use the tithes of the members for the construction of Temples, as well as chapels. We are a non-profit organization.

Non-profit my a**. How do you think they got the money to fund proposition 8? Why do you think they require so much money from their members? Why do you think they have such a huge missionary branch? It's a business and they capitalize off of it.

I just wish to clarify that the LDS church would never force a new convert or other Mormon to divorce their non-mormon spouse.

Churches get tax exempt status, but I am not sure they are forbidden to turn a profit.

EDIT: As for the same set of scriptures issue, I wasn't talking about Catholicism, but all the differect christian sects that use different bibles.

The LDS Church IS, IS, IS a Christian sect. They use the KJV of the Bible and The Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants. (Maybe the Pearl of Great Price? I'm not 100% sure. My Mom just carries it in her church bag.) They use the same scriptures in the way that a Catholic uses the same scriptures as another Catholic.

It's not worth noting that other sects dislike Mormonism. Other sects dislike each other. They follow Christ. They follow the Bible. They're Christian. Other sects do not have the say on what sect is Christian or not, or else the only Christians would be Catholics.

I didn't say mormons weren't christians, or that other sects could call them non-christian, but that doesn't mean they don't try, more so than with other sects it seems.

Dating begins at the age of 16. Women usually don't wed until after they are 18. They like ot marry young and preferably to a returned LDS missionary. LDS women no longer "obey" their husbands. However their husband is a Priest and the woman requires his priesthood for all kinds of reasons from the celestial to the mundane.

You seem to be having trouble deciding whether to defend or attack mormons. I have never heard or seen the slightest implications of a racial supremacy bent in the mormon religion, and they actively try to convert people of every race.

It doesn't "knot my tentacles" but it is a pretty goofy thing to say, considering the amount of evidence to the contrary.

I am trying to be fair with Mormonism. No reason to attack it for false reasons. My primary target is the revision of Church history which is so blatant that it actually takes the breath away from long time members who towed the Churches line for decades only to have the rug pulled out from under them.

The cola dilemna is not really the Word of Wisdom, but has been extrapolated from the supposition that it was the caffeine in "hot drinks" that made them unwise to drink. The new convert pioneers were treking out west where there would be no sure supply of "hot drinks" and thus breaking off the habit was needful. However the Word of Wisdom was not required by all members until the last 1960's.

Those saints who wished to express the fervor of their faith went to greater lengths that was even required by the Doctrine and Covenants by refraining from colas and limiting the amount of chocolate they eat.

The LDS church was extremely racist, although not hatefully so, when I was growing up in that faith. We lived down south when George Wallace was governor of Alabama during segregation and there were numerous Mormon converts who had joined specifically because they were turned on by the teaching about "the negroe."
