So here’s a question to those of us that have been on Gaia long enough to notice the changes. Does it make you a little sick to see how this site has gone from where when you started out you had pretty much NOTHING BUT RAGS when you started to picking out a whole outfit. And throwing out every sponsor ad for like skittles is way out there. So how do all the old Gaian users feel? And if you come in here talking like a n00b you shall be labeled so and laughed at. LIKE THE GOOD OLD DAYS. Wow its been that long huh.

Welcome to capitalism? Yes it is true that investors > consumers (especially if most consumers don't pay any money for the service). So what? People who give money to start up corporations and investors should not be repaid for their investment? Same logic here (except instead of money being repaid, it would be through means of advertising). I don't ever recall Gaia being a non-profit organization (and can put values of investors over those of consumers).

I have to say I do miss those old rags. It gave you that "Rags to Riches" feel. But, you have to understand that Gaia does need some money. And sponsors do help the staff get more money. After all, they can't hope to get a lot of us users.

I have to say I do miss those old rags. It gave you that "Rags to Riches" feel. But, you have to understand that Gaia does need some money. And sponsors do help the staff get more money. After all, they can't hope to get a lot of us users.

I get that they want money and I'm kool with that. But I mean it just seems they bring it up every 5 mins you know.

The only thing I hate more is the obnoxious 14 year olds that seem to have invaded the ED. I remember on my first account the ED actually had intellectual discussions without calling each other names or implying stupidity.

I'm quite confident that this is a generalization and is no better than name calling (in fact I think it is worse in that you are discriminating against a group of people by age... or ageism). I am quite near 14 and do not flame for absolutely no reason.

You can't deny the fact that most people who come on gaia in the first place are between the ages of 12-18 and that usually they think they know everything. MOST of the people on the ED now are completely obnoxious and don't respect others opinions or even listen to them outside of picking for every little possible thing to attack.
