eikocarol212 Supa Beanie eikocarol212 Supa Beanie eikocarol212 Supa Beanie You're operating this whole question around superficial concepts which I get, some people are that superficial. But my take on it is, why bother losing weight to please a world that can't be pleased. First you lose the weight, pay out the 15K to look good in a swimsuit again. After that though, how much more is expected for people to be this unreachable concept of 'perfect'? To be honest screw what other people think, if it's not for me then it's not worth doing. We all want to be accepted, sure, but at the expense of pushing out hard earned cash into a thankless concept, please. The ones who do it are just as fake and worthless as the ones who push out the concept that being skinny means 'perfect' or 'acceptable' and looking good skinny is that extra bonus that makes you worth being seen with in public. Give me a break, losing weight doesn't give you self worth, and it won't make you feel better about yourself. In the end you're still going to be you, and if you're unhappy fat, you'll be unhappy skinny, you'll just be a healthier unhappy you. rolleyes I like you.....lets be friends. For reals. I'd be happy to be your friend =] Yay. 3nodding Seriously, you are one of the few people on the ED who isn't all "Lolz, fatties need to lose weight." I would probably /wrists if I ever ended up in that group, people need to lighten up about people being overweight. I even see people on forums sometimes bagging on "fatties" under the disguise of being concerned for their health. But the truth is, people still haven't accepted the whole differences truth yet, they want the world to conform to their ideas instead of accepting that everyone will not and cannot be the same. It's sick. Yep. Pretty much. It's sad how we humans create our own s**t. "Everyone is a unique individual!!!" but at the same time "Everyone needs to follow this guideline in order to be socially acceptable!!!" We're too superficial for our own good, and it's gonna bite us in the a**. It already has bit us in the a**, we're having this discussion aren't we? I'm sure this same discussion is being had nation wide on forums and in chatrooms and in homes as we speak. The truth is let other people worry about their own health and weight, and leave them alone. Being too skinny is unhealthy too, and people bag on that as well, so where does acceptance really come in? If you're not skinny enough you're a fatty, and if you're too skinny you're an anorexic. We'd be better off minding our own business, and letting people have the weight discussion with their doctors. I know some people who are hugely overweight, but they're healthy as a peach in June. I also know some drastically underweight people who are also healthy, so why is it really anyone's business about another person's weight. |
