No they don't... They have no souls... sorry!
All created being has soul. It is believed that animals do not have immortal souls. However, that has never been dogmatically pronounced. At any rate, as immortal beings who are gods we will be able to travel to any time and place to visit our animal friends and upon bodily resurrection we will be likewise gifted with magical abiliites lost to us since the Garden of Eden. We will be able to resurrect and call forth any animal we remember.
Wow, we are goin to get magical abilities?!
Dogs, or any animal for that matter, don't have souls. Animals don't have reasoning. They have instincts and learned behavior, this has been proven several times in basic psychology. The idea of learned behavior was first brought up with Pavlov, a well know physiologist.
The idea that we have souls is from the Bible. So just like if you were discussing elements you would go to a science book, since we're talking about souls, that idea is from the bible so you go to the source and the source, in this case is the bible. The bible says, no we are not gods, however we are above angels. The magical abilities? not mentioned, and in fact makes me giggle. But I guess we are all entitled to our own opinions. boooya
